Sad, but not very surprising.

I've read both The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns, and found them both to be utterly depressing -- especially the latter. But they did give me an awareness of some of what Afganistan has been through.

I heard an interview with the author, and found the ideas behind the books to be interesting and things to possibly watch out for. I'm not sure if I'll read them/watch this or not. I thought that for a reason for banning a film, this was an interesting and disheartening one.
