ctrl+h (find and replace)
find < and replace with &'lt; (remove apostrophe), replace all
find > and replace with &'gt; (remove apostrophe), replace all

Basically, you're putting in the character codes for the two. That'll take care of most of the display problems.

What you're doing is changing the < and > to &lt; &gt;, because html uses < and > directly in the code. It's called "escaping" your code.

It's the same reason you have to escape & to &amp;. Because the & sign is actually used html.
