Bypass YouTube Restrictions with a URL Hack
Lifehacker.com has this awesome article for our friends across the borders/oceans of USA.
"Find yourself on the wrong side of the ocean (or border) from a U.S.-only YouTube video? Don't want to log in to glimpse a clip that might have content that's "inappropriate for some users"? Both are fairly easy to get around by slightly altering the video's URL, according to the Google Operating System Blog. Most YouTube URLs take the form of:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEOID
Note the 11-character code at the end, and place it like so:
http://www.youtube.com/v/VIDEOID
The swift move brings up the widget normally used to play embedded videos—a bit over-sized, sometimes, but nicely distraction-free as well."
Nifty.

Nice, thanks for sharing, Much appreciated
can you hack the disabled status from some user to create an embed?? I for one care not about such trivial issues such as copyright laws or legalities......
Here is how to bypass YouTube Copyright:
Quick way for personal viewing...follow steps 4-7 and past url into address bar.
Long way for worldwide share:
1. Upload your video.
2. Let processing complete.
3. Go to your videos page.
4. Right click on your copyright clip and go to "Properties"
6. Copy the URL to notepad Ex. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOUR UNIQUE ID
7. Take that URL and make it look like this: http://www.youtube.com/v/YOUR UNIQUE ID
Here is the little extra work required.
8. Create another video less than 30 sec long with a screen shot from your movie.
9. Add a title requesting people look to the sidebar at your links.
10. Upload this dummy video to YouTube with the REAL videos title.
11. In your "Description" let eveyone know the new link we made in notepad.
Sound like a lot of work but its rather simple and well worth the effort if you want to show up your
friends.
Note: Your account may get flagged or banned if you get too much attention. After all, the videos are
still on YouTube.
Create your own website, post the videos there and then use the dummy templates to showcase the link
Best of luck
