So remember when "video bomb" the very similar pligg digg-like RoR platform came out? Well it turns out there is now a 501(c)(3) behind VideoBomb and Democracy Player.



Well, the non-profit, PCF, which Cory Doctorow (boingboing) is also on the Board of... Just got $100,000 from the Mozilla Foundation.



Also, you might notice, they have gone and fully integrated VideoBomb into DemocracyPlayer, so it is like an annoying winamp splash screen. The player software now has "Videobomb frontpage" channel and Videobomb "Incoming!" and RSS intergration. I think you can even upvote "star" videos from inside Democracy player which will play "channels" and/or playlists straight from the RSS feeds.


Anyways, they are hiring
Maybe someone should look into integrating VS 'channels' into the RSS feeds for the player. When v1.0 comes out it will be pretty good. (I still am unsure if even a popular player software can breathe life into VideoBomb)
