History of Anime
Voltron?
Voltron: Lion Force episode 1!
Yup, this is a full story vs. just the opening, so notadupe.
Oh, and if you love Voltron so much, why no vote?
Voltron: Lion Force episode 1!
I love Voltron as much as any geek who grew up in the 80s but watching it now, I want to hear the original Japanese. The english dub is soooo cheesy. Also, this is slightly dupey http://www.videosift.com/story.php?id=9538&where=index Not completely as the first one is just the beginning and the transformation part.
One of the Biggest Cats in the World (900 lbs, 12ft tall)
Biggest cats in the world??? Apparently they forgot VOLTRON!
Intro for Japanese spiderman 1978 TV. He has a giant robot
That robot looks a lot like Voltron.
Original Silverhawks Intro (1:12 min)
I still have a Quicksilver action figure somewhere, when you squeeze his legs together his wings/arms pop out, ready for action... too bad I took them him out of his damn packaging and played the crap out of 'em in our sandbox... in a GI Joe-Silverhawk showdown, the Joes were never a match for the Hawks! Anyway, thanks for posting this one, with the intros to Voltron, Fraggle Rock and such get posted I was hoping it was only a matter of time before my Hawks would make an appearance!

I don't know how many of you watched this as kids, but this, Thundercats (Hooo!), Voltron, and Gumby were all part of my morning routine. Ohh, the good old days.
"Battle of the Planets" (G-Force) intro
Adapted from "Kagaku ninja tai Gatchaman" (Science Ninja Team Gatchaman), this is generally considered the originator of all the superheroes-with-connecting-ships series to follow, such as "Voltron", "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers", etc.
Wikipedia entry, which speculates on what the hell was hell was going on with Keyop and that androgenous villain:

Voltron gets served
Man, who can't love dancing robots? Especially Voltron! Well, the lions, not the vehicles.
