I think Vintage would be number 2, but many of the vintage clips happen to be music as well.

Shocking, Israelis celebrating in NYC while documenting 9/11

I think I voted to keep the cartoon I think. Choggie likes to cause trouble, but he posts some great entertainment. His vintage clips are top notch.

Well, Gwizz maybe right. This sift looks to maybe cool it's heals in the pq a bit.

I thought EVERYONE knew this (about JT), schmawy! Oh, and I was told that Vintage clips are 25+ years old, and this is well beyond that, so that's how I justify the vintage tag. Yeah, I agree that it is weird to think of this as vintage, but there it is.

In reply to this comment by schmawy:
I still have difficulty calling anything I remember as new being vintage. Guess I should get used to it.

What gives with the 'gay' tag? Something I don't know about Travolta?

vintage tag request (Sift Talk Post)

raven says...

good idea swampy... from now on I'll honor this request, and next time I've got touch of insomnia or a few minutes to spare I'll go back and change the tags on any vintage clips I've submitted.

PS. Personally, I only do vintage if its older than myself, so essentially that falls under choggie's 25 year guidline... I'm just not yet prepared for the 80s to be vintage.

Make It Funky (excellent Japanese documentary, part 1 of 6)

benjee says...

An incredible Japanese documentary on the history of Funk (voice over & subtitles in Japanese, interviews etc in English) - obviously firstly focusing on it's godfather...James Brown, and then:

Part Two - Bootsy Collins
Part Three - Sly & The Family Stone plus
Part Four - Marvin Gaye & P-Funk
Part Five - The Bluenotes, David Bowie!? & Jackson 5
Part Six - Donna Summer, P-Funk's Mothership! & Public Enemy

Plus: prizes for any Sifter who can find James Browns' Funky Drummer...my favourite (and what I was originally looking for when finding all these Funky Sifts!)
