Ironic to describe a place that has no natural light as brilliant. Wish they would've shown how people get in and out of there. Seems tricky logistically.

Upvote for a recent personal respect for Mr. Trampoline.....I only wish my own epic trampoline fail was captured on tape, it would have surely garnered over 100 votes for anyone who uploaded it....the physics involved alone would have been enough fodder for a paper on the wonders of kinetic energy vs. threshold displacement energy

I dunno about the netting all around trampolines recently. Part of the thrill is knowing that you could fly off the thing in a most indignified way and hurt yourself pretty bad (if you're a grown up, kids just bounce right back up). I do approve of the padding they put over the sprints though. I have a lot of unpleasant memories of sitting on trampoline springs in my shorts while someone else was jumping.

Trampolines are great fun, especially the 'pro' ones like in this video. I used to get so much air jumping in a timed fashion with a friend. Lots of fun. At least until you fall from about 15' over the side of the trampoline and shatter your left tibia and fibula. True story. Thankfully I was young so the bones were largely able to heal. I just have a metal bar from knee to ankle.

I went to a summer camp when I was a kid and they had these, trampoline- in-the-ground type units. they had about a dozen of them. Not as big as this but all set up in a 2x6 grid and you could jump from one to the other.

You just had to be careful not to hit the solid ground in between them as they were spaced apart and weren't intended to be jumped between. But that never stopped us kids from trying (and succeeding)

I've put a lot of thought into this and here is a way out of the Ecuadorian embassy for Assange : put a trampoline on the roof and jump over to the Colombian embassy accross the street. Voila!

As far as ridiculous Olympic events go, this isn't nearly as bad as Trampoline. Fucking trampoline is an Olympic event. It used to be a training exercise, and the "athletes" that compete in it are the ones that weren't good enough at gymnastics.


I don't mind so much adding "games" to the Olympics, but why did they have to get rid of baseball? It's only one of the most popular sports around the world.
