I'm appalled that you place the corporate-funded drivel that is television programming in line with feminism... because, clearly, it is anything BUT feminism. The shit that airs on TV and is sold in stores is made by rich, greedy, men (and to some extent women- KIMORA LEE SIMMONS I AM LOOKING AT YOU!!!) with little to no scruples, and an eye only for making money, not the empowerment of women or their self image... it is our fault as a culture for identifying with it and buying into the program in the first place... and we've been doing it for decades... chances are, the mothers of alot of these little lolitas could probably be mistaken for sex workers themselves.

Richard Simmons is awesome. He and Letterman are a great comedic duo.

On a more truthful and un-satirical note, Simmons has neither admitted nor denied his sexual orientation, and refuses to answer all questions on the subject.

Since then, Simmons has chosen to do infomercials and fitness tours across the country. He also has maintained a presence on the talk-show circuit, including numerous appearances on CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman" -- the host of which routinely jokes about Simmons' sexuality.

Although it's clear that Simmons capitalizes on Letterman's gay-ribbing for its publicity value, he avoids all press questions on the subject, even in his book.

"I gave 90 percent of my heart and guts in this book," he says, "and I kept 10 percent for me. And the 10 percent is my personal life and death."

Considering how many times he's been on Letterman's show, I doubt either side is taking the banter very seriously (except for the sake of the audience).

I think it's just a part of his persona that he's flamboyant and at times overly enthusiastic/effeminate. He's what people often refer to as "metrosexual." It certainly doesn't change the fact that his exercise and eating programs are overwhelmingly effective and successful.

That was gayer than a bowl of penises in a gay bathhouse in San Francisco with Andy Dick on one side and Richard Simmons on the other, the 3 of them watching a projection of Brokeback Mountain on two gay guys doing gay things.

Yeah, it's hokey, but no more so than Taebo (sp?) or Richard Simmons or countless other aerobics videos, why can't people find activities that don't involve someone wearing a brightly colored shirt yelling "2,3,4, now the left side!"

This guy has confused being a religious fitness instructor with being so gay and untalented he'd make Richard Simmons cringe. I think he just wants to dance.

So Simmons himself, anyway, claims it's natural. That doesn't explain the world record though because, yeah, Simmons' looks longer than this guy's. Maybe it's more about camera angles.

That's almost better than the Richard Simmons skit.
