Failed Assassination Of Pelosi/Husband Attacked In Home

newtboy says...

Immediately explained because there is no question whatsoever that’s what it was.

You have all this fake information…but from where? I know you won’t answer because it’s embarrassing….because the answer is Twitter.
None of it resembles the official reports from police, not one detail is close to correct. It’s pure unadulterated lies you bought hook line and sinker because you want to, or that you made up yourself, not because you have a scintilla of evidence, and it’s all 100% opposed by the reality that an armed MAGgot drove to Pelosi’s house with weapons and zip ties, broke in, and beat an 82 year old man he pulled out of bed with the hammer in front of police, fully dressed, screaming “where’s Nancy”.

I think you people took the fact that he’s a nudist and pretended he was nude at the failed assassination….no, that’s almost rational, I now see Musk just made it up, tweeted it out to millions, then quietly retracted it once he planted the seed of insanity in your fertile skulls, and it grew like a weed in the manure you keep there. Every accusation you make is an admission.

Depapi is pure, undeniably MAGA. You have no evidence otherwise. Police have tons to back that up.
He is far right politically, not all over the place. There were no guards, no dogs, no cameras, no alarm, no third person, no tall wall, no attacker in his underwear. Every bit of that is made up by far right liars like yourself to try to hide from the fact that he’s absolutely one of you, just like you, a splitting image of yourself, believing every crazy conspiracy theory you believe. No evidence he’s a “doper” although that would mean nothing, most republicans are dopers, rush Limbaugh was the biggest heroin addict in recent history, Trump likes speed.
Mr Pelosi called him “friend” to calm him down, not because he was his friend you tool.
Was a failed political assasination by the far right, with prodding from politicians for years up to the “fire Pelosi with a rifle” add on the day before the failed assassination.
Funny, every place your alternative facts were put up is down, not those my info came from. Derp

You just don’t like who you are and seeing yourself in the mirror disgusts you, so you came up with a story from your own life when your gay lover beat you up. It’s so incredibly stupid, and shows you are not a bit serious, just ranting and blaming anyone but terrorist maggots.

Only the completely insane like you believe everything in the universe is on their side at all times…. all truth, all facts, all ideas, all goodness, even god….but somehow you just keep losing constantly, bigly. Maybe it’s just you!

But to recap, you don’t get to ask questions until you answer one….and you can’t.

Watch the Webb Telescope launch animation

Hipnotic says...

You're absolutely right, my comment should have targeted the live launch, sorry.
Still, that covers about 20 (shaky cam) seconds of the launch before they switch to an animation (!) of the launch.
Which brings me back to my original gripe: The Ariane 5 is an old vehicle which doesn't have onboard cameras. Private rocket launch companies have eclipsed it. And I think The European Space Agency is not keeping up.
As to cameras on the JWST itself, it looks like they didn't attach any for a reason: https://www.space.com/james-webb-space-telescope-no-cameras-reason
Didn't know that...

cloudballoon said:

You get that's just a "preview" right? It's in the desc. It was done & shown before the launch, and I assume you knew the launch date (granted, it was postsponed several times, so admittedly not easy to keep track unless you have a passing interest about it). The actual live broadcast is at: https://youtu.be/7nT7JGZMbtM

Emails Reveal Trump Planned Coup with Loyalist Jeffrey Clark

luxintenebris jokingly says...

gonna have to explain 1/2 truths? after all video, audio and witness testimony of crimes committed...are you saying the other half of truth is what you believe?

is truth, for you, like one of those black and white cookies? if you don't like one end, ya' flip it to the other?

no. if it's not true then it's false. there is truth. truth can be proven. truth isn't a choice.

- the president tried to lead a coup. he failed. the uprising HAPPENED. no camera tricks. no 'deep-fake' poo smeared on the walls of congress.

- COVID is killing. Delta is turning FL & TX into a breeding ground of new strains (Delta + is already out before Windows 11).

Those are real.

When you hear..."GOOD LORD! Lambda variant is heading from Peru! forget the Mexicans! the next llama you meet might be your last!!"...only one truth in there. the rest is hyperbole or pure conjecture.

'cause there are no half-truths. only truth covered in lies. kinda like eating fish. you pick out the bones. avoided swallowing it whole.

Chicago Cop Abandons Woman Being Threatened With A Gun

newtboy says...

You have to make a Hell of a lot of assumptions to come to that conclusion. 1) that he has no camera. 2) that the victim/witness wouldn't be believed. 3) that physical evidence wouldn't prove it was a good shooting. 4) that there weren't other cameras.
It's possible, but not the most likely outcome. Abandoning a black woman leaving her to be murdered on camera is FAR more likely to spark riots and accusations that he would have stayed and protected a white woman.

Edit:police scanner traffic does provide some information. A dispatcher indicates that a man “pointed the gun at (a) mother and (a) father multiple times” and was in the stairwell when police were called.
It should not have been a surprise when the responding officer encountered a man with a gun.

3 people are killed by police every single day. There aren't riots every single day over it. It's not an honest position to claim every time a black man is shot by police it's cause for a riot. That's total nonsense intended to delegitimize a legitimate movement against inappropriate police violence...that's not ALL police violence. Sometimes police violence is necessary...just not >half the times it's used, and usually not to the extent (like shooting someone 142 times).

There's a middle ground between swat teams going in shooting over a nonviolent mental health call and a cop abandoning a victim to run like a coward from an armed attacker.

Maybe if he shot, but not to kill, outcomes could be better....or tried non lethal methods first. Maybe if he followed policy and didn't go to a domestic violence call alone. The one thing certain to not work is turning his back (probably making his vest useless) and running away from the victim and armed attacker. That put him at the most danger of being shot in the back and her being murdered, and it violated his oath, and it indicates black victims won't be protected.

olyar15 said:

But did he know he was on camera? Did he have a bodycam? The only reason the suspect was seen on camera holding a gun was because the cop backed away. If he had drawn his gun and fired the moment he saw the suspect holding the gun, it wouldn't have been caught on that camera because the suspect was still in the room. Then you would have a situation of only eyewitness testimony. And you would have riots.

I find it amusing that these cops either forget they're on camera, or for some reason, there was no camera footage.

Man Escapes 5 Yr Sentence After Dash Cam Footage Clears Him

chingalera says...

Well entr0py, actions like these earn them douche-points with all their like-minded kinfolk in the douchebag fraternity, and hopefully seals their fate when sentenced for more egregious violations when they finally show supreme ass and get sent upstate where they may even be lucky enough to meet some 'reforming' felon they helped put-away....where there is no camera, and no-one to tattle on a good deed for all of humanity...

Sarah Wallace needs a Junior Anti-G-Man Badge!
Here ya go sister!!

And to address jubuttib's comment....That should be the job of EVERY citizen who travels the U.S. or (insert police-state here) roadways, to have on-board-streaming, real-time "upload to cloud" systems to thwart the actions of any and all police who chose the lower path.

FUCK the criminals, as they have been handed the power through voter complacency to fuck the citizenry!

Agree with your sentiments 100% eric, btw.

entr0py said:

That was bizarre, why would the police officers involved even do that? I get that they're shouting things like "get away from my gun", imagining the camera can't see what's going on or there's only audio. But why bother framing some poor harmless guy? How does that help them?

Xbox One Kinect Calls Foul on Bad Language

newtboy says...

Well, I suppose that makes some sense for some people. I want my games as FUN as possible...if that means less realism in some ways, that's what I want. I do know I'm an oddball, so I feel lucky that the entire gaming industry isn't going the hyper-realism direction.
As I said, this isn't really an issue for me as I don't use multiplayer or chat much if at all (or play sports games much). If I did, and this is not optional, it would upset me to find out about it after I bought the game and/or system. That's why this video is helpful no matter what you feel about it, it's informative (if only minimally).
It IS an issue for me that XB1 has an always on microphone/camera and an always on internet connection. For someone like me, that's just a door for intrusion with little to no benefit. (I expect to hear about them being hacked by an ex-boyfriend to spy on someone within 6 months.) That's the main reason I prefer PS4 so far, the microphone/camera is optional. I also don't need my game machine to be a full multimedia platform for all my video needs, which seems to be a main 'selling point' for XB1 that's lost on me.
(and I'm not just a PS fanboy, I have a 360 and ps3, but no camera/microphone on either)

Because people want them "real" as possible. I am fine with the old games on NES because I don't care. But if you bought the Xbox one well then you obviously need it as close to life to feel complete as possible. His desire, not mine.

Smartypants gets Tasered

VoodooV says...

I can agree that he whipped out the taser a bit early and that perhaps there should have been a warning given. "Hey, I will tase you if you do not step back."

Thing is though, I seriously doubt it would have changed a thing. Douchebags like that don't stand down in situations like that. In the Douchebag's mind, he is the evolved Nietzschian Superman genius, and the guards are part of the evil empire so there was simply nothing the guard was going to say to The Elevated One to convince him to step back peaceably and wait his fucking turn like the rest of the mere mortals.

Doesn't matter how right he thinks he is. It doesn't matter if he is ultimately right about everything he was ranting about. The rule is no cameras and he refused to comply. The guard did his job, maybe a bit too eagerly, but he did his job.

You say "bullshit", and then give an example that demonstrates exactly the opposite.

That's because they are two separate issues. One is about red light cameras and speed cameras in urban areas, and the other is road traffic policing on open roads.

>> ^Fletch:

No camera at the dangerous corner, but cameras where people are likely to exceed the speed limit (albeit safely)? Gee, I wonder why they would do that? Maybe because they raise more revenue putting cameras where there is little danger, but high return via fines. If speed cameras were truly a deterrent, and they chose not to put a camera at the known dangerous corner, then they either don't believe they are a deterrent and just place the cameras for maximum revenue, or they don't give a shit about public safety and, again, place the cameras for maximum revenue.

Possible. But in the grand scheme of things, I don't believe the revenue raised is a significant sum from a government pov. More likely, it's that the cops are under pressure to be seen to be enforcing speed limits and so do so in a place that will allow them to say "look how many people we caught".

>> ^Fletch:

I average about one speeding ticket every two years or so, and it hasn't deterred me in any way. I just think of the fine, spread out over 24 months, as the price I pay to drive however the hell I want.

Again, in any sane system, you would have your licence suspended for repeated infringement.

>> ^Fletch:

Nothing the government does, such as approving red light cameras, comes without cost/benefit considerations, and there is no benefit ($) to "fewer people running red lights".

Apart from less crashes, which couldn't possibly lead to other benefits to governments like less use of emergency services? Plus a whole bunch of knock-on effects that stem from this. Not to mention all the intangibles such as voter popularity declining in the face of an increasing road toll.

The cameras don't serve any other purposes other than as an unethical revenue stream for municipalities, and as a way to track your whereabouts.

Yeah, I mean who wants to stop fucking idiots running red lights or speeding through urban areas? That's just crazy.

Red light cameras neither prevent nor stop either of your examples. They have only one purpose... raising revenue after the fact.

Bullshit, it acts as a deterrent, the same way any fine does. Plus, in a sane country, continued infringement will result in suspension of licence.
This is not some evil government conspiracy.
I do have a problem with speed cameras on open roads though. I've never seen a zipped trap in a place where it's actually needed. Instead, they're always on straight open stretches of road. Meanwhile there's a dangerous corner just up the road that's a known accident black spot, but there's no camera there.

You say "bullshit", and then give an example that demonstrates exactly the opposite. I didn't say there was an evil government conspiracy. I think it's pretty clear and in the open. No camera at the dangerous corner, but cameras where people are likely to exceed the speed limit (albeit safely)? Gee, I wonder why they would do that? Maybe because they raise more revenue putting cameras where there is little danger, but high return via fines. And I don't think I've ever gone through a red light. I still think red light cameras are bullshit. The cameras wouldn't be there if they didn't make money, and they wouldn't make money if they were truly deterrents. Nothing the government does, such as approving red light cameras, comes without cost/benefit considerations, and there is no benefit ($) to "fewer people running red lights".
