Needs more lens flare. Can we fix that in post production?

There is one thing I hate more then lens flares. simulated camera shake.

Looks like they got lens flare lessons from J.J. Abrams.

I saw this in theater with the wife. It was actually a decent film. One of the better sci-fi films I've seen in some time. (Even if it lacks a gross abundance of Michael Bay explosions, or JJ Abrams lens flare.) The characters, and their actions, were reasonably believable given the situation they were facing.

Apparently, in the book the lady lead is 15 or 16 when she meets mister lead, who is 17 or 18, so there's only a couple years between them. There looks to be a much greater difference in age in the film. My wife said that the books do a really good job explaining everything. She read the trilogy shortly after we saw the movie.

Meh, I can live with the lens flare. The shitty plots and the "no really, it's not Kahn, honestly, it's not...SUPRISE IT WAS KAHN!" bullshit I can do without.

Good stuff - all of the lens flares and lighting reminds me of a JJ Abrams film.

Saw the new one last night (early release for NZ. In your face, rest of humanity!)

The lens flares are still on the goddamn bridge and there was even a lens flare of J.J. Abhrams name in the end credits.

At this point, I can't help but feel I'm being trolled....

When I first saw this at theatres I never noticed the lens flare thing. But once it was pointed out to me, I can't see anything else... (See what I did there.)

Abrams film left me feeling 'meh' so I'll catch the next one at home...

The thing that amazes me is how accurately this sort of meteor entry has been depicted in countless movies and 'artist's impressions'. Add a lens flare in there, and it'd look nice and CGI.
