Which Page Width Do You Use Most of the Time on VideoSift?
For any new users (some people do overlook this), there is a set of page widths at the bottom of every page on VideoSift. The default is 1024 and that is the most common one width used by all visitors to VideoSift.
Which page width do you use? And in related non-poll news, what is the resolution of your monitor? These can be difficult questions to answer if you're like me and hop around from computer to computer, but in that case, answer for whichever computer you use most of the time that you're sifting.
I guess I was curious after adding the new "auto enlarge" feature for videos corresponding to your selected page width.

I use 1024 even on my 1920 monitor, because I'm a man who fears change.
My Netbook is 1024x600
My Laptop is 1680x1050 and at Work is 1900x1200
I use the 1280 width because I have a 1440 x 900 notebook screen.

And I chug cock.
I use 1280 on my 24" monitor because I don't want to use up the ENTIRE screen.. I usually multi-task while sifting.
hrm.. I swear I hit the 1024 button to vote, because that's what I have there.. and I see my name under the '1600' list..
Anyway, I didn't even know I could change page widths, I gotta play with it some now!
Was always surprised VS didn't have a fluid layout. I leave it at the default.
My monitor is an aging 19" Trinitron that I keep at 1280x1024 (my eyes can't do 1600x1200 anymore). However, I've finally broken down and ordered a 24" LCD. I still expect to keep it at 1024, though, as there's really not much benefit to going full-screen with a browser.
1024 on my TV, 1600 on my monitor.
I usually sift from my beloved laptop, with a 1440x900 screen. My desktop has a 1600x1200 screen, but I prefer to use the 1280 setting there as well, since I don't like the linebreak pattern at higher settings.
With my 24" I used full screen with 1920 but now with a 30" I simply have to reduce the window sizes so I use 1280 now.
Home is 1920 - not used that often. even when I have VS open on this I resize all the windows to 1024 size.
Work is 1024 - most sifting is done at work. for research purposes.
Hmm, the new video resizing thing made me think it over, and now I use 1920 with the window as small as possible to still not require scrolling.
1680x1050@home&1024x768@work
I use 1024 on screens capable of 1600 and 1920 respectively, because I feel more comfortable reading a narrow block of text than a few wide rows. Old habit, I guess, but running it at 1600 makes me woozy.
^ I also find it more comfortable to read a narrow block of text. That's actually a typographical principle and the reason why newspapers use columns.
I have videosift at the 1024 setting on all flavors of resolution because I usually have the side panel in Opera out to check the status of my e-mail and rss. All the other widths leaves me with a horizontal scroll bar when the panel is open.
*edit: But now that I have tried out the sexy new auto wide video feature, I might just consider switching to 1280...
1280 on my 1920 monitor. I don't run a lot of items fullscreen.
I just blew out my video card and can't get my new one working so at the moment I am using an old one from an old computer - so I won't vote at the moment... Right now all my video sucks...
1440x900, had it set to 1280 but then it switched back and I never bothered correcting it.
Voting for this poll ended with the majority of users voting 1024.
800 pixels width since I only have a 1280x1024 monitor. No room for a widescreen/bigger monitor as well. At work, I use 1280 pixels width for 1600x1200.

You have a laptop with a 22" screen?
