You may have noticed that the level of off topic Sift Talk posts has been increasing lately. We love everyone's contributions to the Sift, especially when it comes to interesting conversations, but as is noted at the top of the sidebar, this "main" Sift Talk is reserved for specific types of discussions.

If you're a charter member and would like to, please feel free to post any general discussions to your personal blog. If you are not a charter member or if your post is specific to one of the many Sift channels, you can post to that specific channel's talk instead. To this end, we've made *[channel] invocations now work for posts in the main Sift Talk.

So, if you Gold Stars come across a post here that you think would better belong to a channel's talk, feel free to invoke it. Keep in mind, however, that talk posts can only be associated with a single channel, so invoking on a post already in a channel talk will fail.
