Midterm uphill battle for Democcrats

newtboy says...

Such a sad little boy. That’s all you can come up with vs worse language skills and treason, unprecedented massive vote frauds, and a failed coup? 😂

Edit: You are such a constant waste of my research time….He actually said “I was in the foot-Hima…foot, excuse me…foothills of the Himalayas with Xi Xing Ping….he combined foothills and Himalayas once then stuttered the word “foothills” and instantly correctly pronounced it afterwards. Such blatant quick edit to make it sound like gibberish when, as expected, seen as the whole video it barely registers as a stutter. More dishonest kindergarten level silliness, all you’ve ever had against Biden. 🤦‍♂️
15:26 into his speech. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqNtQ6c_HAU

Biden has a long term diagnosed speech impediment you LOVE to ridicule, making you an infant and douchebag that laughs at people’s disabilities, even the most successful people who overcame those disabilities to levels you could never dream of reaching….

…Trump has a severe brain impediment you LOVE to ignore completely. He stares into the sun, suggests mainlining bleach, says Washington “took over airports”, publicly brags about having sex with his daughter, draws hurricane projections in sharpie and thinks it looks like an official weather map, wonders about the oranges, oranges, the oranges of the investigation, can’t say “yesterday”… And on top of thousands of examples of him being utterly brainless, he reads, writes, and speaks gibberish and you lap it up.
He also has a morals and an ethics impediment, but I’ll stick to ridiculing his words.
Trump was president Jimmy Wichard (also accused of frying his brain by staring into the sun, but it’s kind of a chicken and egg thing). YOU think that makes him a genius.

Covfefe.
Go sell it on Troth Senchel, those morons will believe anything
🤦‍♂️ 😂

So, mr “wrong is wrong”… does that extend to Boebert, who was just notified by the FEC that she’s violated (more) campaign finance laws over 20 times this year by accepting personal donations over $2900? Just 15 years ago that would not only end a political career, but might end up sending the representative to prison…today it gets a stern letter and barely a mention by the media, but is no less illegal.
Let’s remember that she was with her husband when he exposed himself to two 14-15 year old girls, and tried to help him cover it up.
Let’s also remember she admitted she abused her travel funds massively, paying herself well over $20000 pretending (in writing) that she drove herself almost 40000 miles in 6 months for government business while serving in Washington, then changing her story and claiming a bunch of that reimbursement was for hotel stays she hadn’t reported (but any hotel over $200 is required to be listed, not doing so is also a crime).

So, the question is, should Boebert be barred from holding office for accepting these 20+ “bribes” and embezzlement? Let’s see if you can answer without deflection or projection..$5 says no.

Ohio GOP Primary Debate

newtboy says...

We’ve been over this. Repeatedly.
He was trolling them, as he often did. This was his style. It just goes over your head.
If he’s one of the dumb ones, Democrats are hyper intelligent super brains. I certainly don’t think that.

Johnson grew up in Washington, D.C. His father worked for the Bureau of Prisons and was the director of classifications and paroles. Up to that time, he was the highest ranking African-American in the bureau.
Johnson received his B.A. degree from Clark College (now Clark Atlanta University) in 1976, is a member of Omega Psi Phi Kappa Alpha Alpha Chapter, Decatur, Georgia, and received his J.D. degree from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston in 1979; he practiced law in Decatur, Georgia, for more than 25 years.

From 1989 to 2001, Johnson served as an associate judge of the DeKalb County magistrate's court. He was elected to the DeKalb County Commission in 2000 and served from 2001 to 2006.

Edit: "The subtle humor of this obviously metaphorical reference to a ship capsizing illustrated my concern about the impact of the planned military buildup on this small tropical island," Johnson said in a statement at the time.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported last year that Johnson has battled Hepatitis C for more than a decade, an ailment that causes him to get "lost in thought in the middle of a discussion."

He’s hardly dumb. I know it’s hard to know from your viewpoint, but you’ve been well informed before….you could TRY to remember a few facts you are taught.

That said, there do seem to be real reasons why he should retire, not the least of which is hep C that’s recently left him sick and weak. You don’t need to be dishonest to make your point, bob. Why are you?

Always dishonest Bob. Every time you post. It’s really sad. Sour grapes have rotted your brain.

Edit: BTW, this isn’t just two out of control, violent Retrumpicans, they are representative of all Trumpists, and this display was done to appeal to people just like you, Bobby, and be your actual representatives.

CNN Confronts Biden Advisor on Ukraine

newtboy says...

Oh no @bobknight33….Joe’s leadership in NATO, which Trump wanted us out of and wanted destroyed as capitulation to Putin, is surprising the Russians and giving the Russians serious pause.

Lavrov conceded NATOs unity, advising Putin that at this past weekend’s Munich security conference “every western representative declared their absolute commitment to a unified approach,” which “confirmed that we need to negotiate with Washington.”

This unity was created by Joe, who’s spent days/weeks/months cajoling members into that unified front. When did Russia ever negotiate with Trump? A: never, he never made them negotiate, he simply gave in to every wish and ignored every crime.

Gun Laws: Jon Stewart Interview w/ Former ATF David Chipman

newtboy says...

15% of all violent crime is domestic violence. It stands to reason then that 15% of killings are direct domestic violence, if not far more.
Nearly 50% of women killed in the us are killed by their intimate partner.
Guns are involved in over 50% of intimate partner homocides.
That’s guns in domestic violence cases accounting for 25% of femicides (women killed).
It’s impossible to give an accurate number for violence tangential from domestic violence (ie shot by police, collateral injuries, suicides, etc) but it’s far from zero.

https://ncadv.org/STATISTICS

https://efsgv.org/learn/type-of-gun-violence/domestic-violence-and-firearms/

The National Gang Center under the Department of Justice based on annual surveys of local law enforcement agencies tallied 11,934 "gang-related" homicides in the U.S. from 2007 through 2012. The FBI reported 93,253 total murders during the span. Comparing the numbers, the Center estimated that "gang-related homicides typically accounted for around 13% of all homicides annually."

Researcher John Lott stated that the U.S. has a high homicide rate compared to other developed countries because of “drug gangs.”
According to the National Youth Gang Survey Analysis by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Gang Center, and Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, most gun homicides are not related to gangs.
A December 2020 Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report by the CDC of 34 states, four California counties, and Washington, D.C., found that 9.7% of homicides in 2017 were gang-related

So, 25%+- of all women killed (and a similar number for men one assumes) vs 9-13% for gang violence (including tangential)…but you want to focus on “inner city gang killing” (read “black thugs”) as if it’s 90% of homocides and domestic violence death is non existent.

Again, you devolve into making up fake racist statistics to turn any issue into a racist argument. This is where you fail every single time. Fail to say what you really mean. Fail to be honest. Fail to offer true statistics. Fail as a human being….you completely racist liar.

Downvote your comment because as usual you ignore the topic, likely didn’t watch the video, and make up statistics to be a blatantly lying, unapologetic worthless piece of racist excrement.

How can you possibly be so stupid you thought no one would call you out on these easily debunked blatantly racist lies, Bob?

bobknight33 said:

OF all the killings per year how many are domestic violence?

1%
2%

OF those domestic violence what % are from guns, Knifes , other?
Evil White conservative owners are the problem? No bias here.

What about the 90+% gun violence ? inner city gang killing?
This is where you start.

Down vote since it not about any meaningful discussion of root causes.

The Power Grid: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)

It was pretty disappointing that they didn’t include small generators in these equations. My solar is on my roof, it only uses transmission lines when I make more than I use, and then it stays local. Same thing with small home wind turbines and micro hydro. All these non centralized generation methods are incredibly better than huge farms IMO.

1) No transmission needed, power is generated and used locally.
2) multiple generation methods are tied together, so when it’s dark and solar doesn’t produce, wind and micro hydro are still available vs giant single method “farms”.
3) decentralizing power generation hardens the entire grid, and individual adoptors, against infrastructure attacks. (That alone should sway the climate change denying nationalist crowd to buy in if they could still consider thoughts, sadly they can’t .)
4) barring an emp, the entire grid could not go down and power outages would be limited to tiny areas and be easily repaired in the future.

So this float showed up at the Popcorn festival/ parade

JiggaJonson says...

@newtboy After the thankfully uneventful rally in Washington yesterday, it occurred to me; THAT is like celebrating the attack. The buildings on fire aren't celebrating the hijackers. The rally, however, is cheering on those who attacked or would attack the US Capitol.

So this float showed up at the Popcorn festival/ parade

JiggaJonson says...

Im unsure how I feel about this so far. I get that "celebrating the attack" = bad. But it was meant as a memorial, I've never been to a pleasant memorial, and some of them do show people being attacked.

I'm not sure exactly what is in bad taste about this. I see many war memorials where soldiers have either been attacked or in the middle of being attacked. I don't see the distinction between the buildings and the soldiers.

The "someone" who thought this was a good idea is the Valparaiso GOP.
Asked for comment on the backlash, the chairman said "I think we hit it spot on", "they all liked it".
Talk about tone deaf. You hit the towers spot on, eh? That's definitely what your float is about.

This seems a lot more like celebrating the attack than remembering the victims.

The threats came to him day before his Jan 6 speech. Not from Trump supporters but from the Democrats, the true racist of America,

Brooks, what was at the June 14 shooting ( Nut bag Bernie sanders supporter ) during the practicing for a charity softball game in Washington DC.

Guess facts in contest don't matter for you.

Just admit your a propaganda tool. This fact is clear as day.

newtboy said:

So, Republican Mo Brooks, who spoke at Trump’s Jan 6 pre coup rally, knew days ahead of time about the impending attack, didn’t go home but slept in his office from fear he might be followed home, and wore a bullet proof vest when he told them to “start kicking” because he had been warned there would be many armed and violent people in that crowd he was inciting. He apparently did not warn fellow representatives of the attack he had prior knowledge was inevitable.

He admitted all this publicly.
