Kyle Rittenhouse Trial Week 1 Summary

StukaFox says...

I know for a fact -- through painful personal experience -- that at least in California, you can't go "looking for trouble". If this law extends to other states, the "self defense" argument is like arguing Kosher ham.

I can tell the story of how I know about the California law, otherwise I'll stop Face Booking here.

how is this a taunting penalty...

JiggaJonson says...

this is one of the primary reasons i don't care for sports in general.

Ever see anyone get penalized for being in the freethrow lane in basketball?

Section VI—Offensive Three-Second Rule

An offensive player shall not remain for more than three seconds in that part of his free throw lane between the endline and extended 4’ (imaginary) off the court and the farther edge of the free throw line while the ball is in control of his team.

me neither.

but back to this, the trouble is it's really just whatever the fuck the ref feels like, not what really happened

How to cheat solving a Rubik’s cube

vil says...

Impressive how a machine goes to the trouble of finding a low count of moves to solve the whole thing at once. I wonder if the best humans do this. Mere mortals use a sequential systematic approach which means a lot more moves.

BTW this is not "solving", or "cheating to solve" its just blindly following the orders of our electronic overlord.

(PS5) RIDE 4 | Ultra High Realistic Graphics

newtboy says...

Stunning! *quality stuff
Unfortunately reviews say the difficulty is just as realistic, so if you aren’t a superbike rider you’ll have trouble advancing.

Still, we’ve come one hell of a long way since excite bike!
I hope Road Redemption, the upcoming Road Rash style motorcycle combat game, looks 1/2 that good.

TX law & tattoos

Anom212325 says...

"So you agree that women wanting to leave TX to receive this, should be allowed? Right? Easy is the word." yes, but don't expect to return because you committed murder and that's a crime in Texas.

"You'd be against the idea that anyone could be fined or arrested for transporting the women. Right? Easy enough." Helping to commit murder is a crime.

"So if it wasn't easy for a poor person to travel - your okay w/groups or even businesses helping those who don't like it to get them out of TX? Right? Letting them get the procedure and returning them after. Paying for their travel is an easy solution to the problem - right? " Again, all of those examples are accomplices in committing murder.

"And if it became the norm, are your okay with independent services or organized groups - like an over-the-ground railroad - helping women to get out of states that make it impossible to get a legalized abortion into states that have more realistic laws? If it's done in another state, doesn't break TX's law (or any other state's) - then no crime. Right? No trouble for her or from the state of TX (or any other state entity). Easy peezy." Again, all of those examples are accomplices in committing murder.

"So you are easily in agreement w/the ease of these solutions. Right?" Yes, commit murder and expect the full extent of the law in Texas.

"They don't like it. They can take it to another state. " Yes, just don't return because you committed murder.

"As easy as that?" yes as easy as that. Murder is a crime. Can't be simpler.

You'd be against the idea that anyone could be fined or arrested for transporting the women. Right? Easy enough.

You'd be against reporting people that aid in getting the women into a state that is allows the legal procedure - right? Fall off the log easy.

NYC's Anti-Vax Rally in 49 Seconds

newtboy says...

Lemme guess, you don't care about that when it comes to remdesvir, which is not FDA approved, costs in the neighborhood of 4000 times as much (with profit margins to match) and known side effects are worse including....
Back pain
chest tightness
chills
cough
dark-colored urine
difficulty swallowing
fast heartbeat
fever
flushing
headache
hives, itching
light-colored stools
nausea and vomiting
puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
stomach pain, continuing
trouble breathing
unusual tiredness or weakness
yellow eyes or skin
Seizures
skin rash

People have severe side effects often enough that you have to wait under observation for an hour after getting it to be sure you don't need medical help.
You can't sue them either, but I'm sure that also doesn't matter to you because Republicans told you to take it instead of an FDA approved vaccine (and just coincidentally they and their major donors all own shares in the manufacturer).

TangledThorns said:

Big pharma makes billions from the vaccine. Best part is they can't be sued if you die from the vaccine.

Use of force incident at Walmart in East Syracuse NY

newtboy says...

When someone tries to bite you, you or they can absolutely slug them. Self defense is a legitimate defense. His taser was holstered and his help wasn't helping. Once she tried to do him physical harm, she invited them to do harm to her....proportional harm, which I think one punch definitely is, a human bite is incredibly dangerous. I think he'll be fine job wise, but harrassed publicly for hitting a woman because sexism.

I think the female might be in the most danger of reprimand if not firing. She not only didn't help either male, both having obvious serious trouble controlling their arrestees, but saw they also had trouble with the hostile crowd and instead of shielding them from it she hid behind them.

Mordhaus said:

Well, the one cop is going to lose his job. I can understand his frustration, but even if someone is biting you, you can't just slug them. Not when you have a Taser and help.

I do have to wonder why the female cop is not helping. Both guys could have used some help to keep the crowd back at least. The closest I saw he trying to help was when the one lady was biting the guy. As soon as he swung, she raised her hands and was like "Nope, not losing my job or freedom."

Mom arrested after posing as 7th grade daughter in school

newtboy says...

If a hacker breaks into a company and is CAUGHT, then claims they were just testing security....the hacker gets prosecuted. It's not the hackers job to expose the problem unless the company hired them to do that. Otherwise any hacking efforts ever could just be excused as "security checks" and not prosecutable, even when they're successful at stealing money, data, and IP. Even if they do no harm and report themselves, it's still an illegal attack, just like if you catch me leaving your house after breaking in but I say I was just exposing your poor locks by picking them and searching your house....you've still been illegally violated.

If I break into a bank, break into all the safe deposit boxes, and when caught in the vault say" I was just testing security, what's your problem, I'm the good guy here", I'm going to prison, just like she should.

The daughter would be in trouble because she helped an adult sneak into the school, not because of the schools reaction but because of her clearly inappropriate and likely illegal actions.

She's a real nut or she never would have thought this was a good idea. Do you think any concerned citizen should do as she did? How do you distinguish security checks from kidnappers, pedophiles, thieves, .... People who take the law into their own hands at the expense of other people's security are not heroes, they're self centered, self aggrandizing, nutjob criminals.

I'm going to vote for mum here.

If a hacker breaks into a company, or its software, and reports the breach to the company, the hacker often gets a bounty. It's not the hacker's job to think about how to fix the problem - although s/he may: it's the company's.

Yes, maybe she daughter is in trouble - but, if so, this would be due to the school's reaction.

Unless she's a real nut, I'd like to see the school thank her, and invite her to join a school safety parent-teacher body.

Sorry, I forgot facts are just for liberals.
Snopes isn't perfect but they're head and shoulders and chest and waist and knees and ankles and feet above ANY source you've provided over the years, you are often directly quoting Russian propaganda. They are also far from the only fact checker that says the same thing, along with dozens of articles throughout his career with the exact same story, and books written about it for decades, and even recent awards from the stuttering community/organizations...but you know better because why? Did Alex Jones say so? Glen Beck? Diaper Don?
Here's a few dozen reports, some from right wing media, about Biden's stutter....I'm sure you won't or can't read them. Easy to find, just Google Biden's speech impediment....but I saved you the trouble of spelling it....
http://www.google.com/search?q=History+of+Biden%27s+speech+impediment.&source=hp&oq=History+of+Biden%27s+speech+impediment.&gs_l=mobile-heirloom-hp.3.
..3514.18619.0.19028.31.28.0.3.3.0.256.4264.0j24j4.28.0....0...1c.1j4.34.mobile-heirloom-hp..12.19.2638.G_u9HmUbuck

Being able to overcome it at times doesn't mean it doesn't exist....if it does then his exemplary performance and coherent speeches since taking office proves you wrong 100+ times over....but your guy thinks you should inject bleach to fight a virus he says is a hoax, you believe in Jewish space lasers, Italian vote changing satellites, and age defying magic from cannibalism. Who's too old and feeble minded? I think we know the answer, Jethro. Where did you get your degree in diagnosing cognitive decline? You need to sue them, you learned nothing.
He's said clearly for decades that, like many, his stutter gets much worse when he's tired and under stress. That's totally normal with stuttering.

Trump, on the other hand, has no such excuse for his inability to speak or write in complete thoughts or sentences or even English words...covfefe! Oranges of the investigation. Oranges. Oranges. Mumerca!

Biden is clearly not too old to kick diaper Donny's ass without breaking a sweat, and is in excellent shape for his age, you can't say that about obese Trump. He is older than I would prefer, that's different from being too old to hold office....isn't he younger than Trump would be in 4 years? So if Biden is too old now, Trump was too old to elect. Do you know that's what you're saying?

bobknight33 said:

You using Snopes as a fact checker is rich.

Claim
U.S. President Joe Biden has a speech impediment.

False. No speech impediment just too old.

No speech impediment in 1993. 12 minutes of pure coherent speech .
Maybe as a kid but not by 1993.
2021 Must be to old feeble to speak with out bumbling/ stumbling.

Just admit Biden is too old to be POTUS. Grandpa Joe will be gone soon and the unpopular VP will take over. Yet a bigger joke.

This Electrician rigged his van to stop tool thieves

StukaFox says...

Legal Eagle covered this in some depth on one of his videos, but the short answer is NO YOU CANNOT FUCKING DO THIS YOU UTTER FUCKING CHOWDERHEAD WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!!? (not you, of course, but whoever sets said trap). Nor can you "lie in wait" or "look for trouble" (which is why Baby Rambo is in a world of shit, but will probably get pardoned by some GOP cunt in the future. This is also how I ended up involved in a triple murder case).

spawnflagger said:

hope this guy gets to keep his shocker installed (assume UK). In USA that's a lawsuit waiting to happen... sadly the thief could sue the vehicle owner for their injuries, even if they admit they were trying to break in and steal stuff.

That shit's "funny" online, but dealing with meth addicts in real life sucks more than you can ever possibly know. Potheads can be annoying, acid casualties are scary, cokeheads are cunts, drunks are a fight waiting to happen, but meth addicts are their own level of the abyss. Take raving paranoia, mix in terrifying levels of potential violence and remove any semblance of sanity and you've got your average meth addict going off the rails. I never used to carry a gun when I was on about my business ventures back in the 80s, but once meth showed up, I changed my tune on that matter. The pot business was handshakes and smiles, but the assholes dealing meth were always trouble and the more meth they were dealing, the more likely violence was. The only time I was ever involved in murder was because of a meth dealer. These assholes are ALWAYS trouble. They're trouble, their customers are more trouble than that and the guys who supply them are worse than the first two combined. I fucking hate meth and everyone involved with it.
