False facts about Star Trek many think are true
Ok, these are cool and all, but any legit Trekker/ie (BOTH terms have been used by varied alumni cast members and fans to mean whatever they want it to mean) knows these things. Anyone who has watched every episode is like "Are these not obvious facts?"
Spock's emotions were even referenced in the JJ reboot. The beam me up thing is already memed. And ST:TNG practically showcases the burreaceacy of Starfleet as something Picard can elloquently rebutt.
But cool video, this is favorited so i can just send it to people who aren't ultra nerds. (My wife is actually the legit Trekker in the family tho -- i set her ringtone to "It's been a long time" because she hates that folky intro song and i know it annoys her that it's Star Trek music hahahahaaaaa...
The Trouble with Transporters
question for Trekkers:
There have been a few episodes where the transporter messed up and there were copies - which means it is possible to create a clone army - so why haven't there been any episodes with a clone army? Is there a "Directive" forbidding this in intergalactic law? Even if so, a "bad guy" could still break the law and do it.
The Federation aren't the only ones with transporter technology, right?
Alison Brie reenacts internet memes
Until the creator gets everyone to pronounce to a "jraphics", it's gonna gif with a hard-g. I bet he thinks he's a "Trekker" too.
Maker Faire 2012: Warhammer 40K Space Marine Armor
Really impressive. I have plans to someday make a similarly sized halloween costume that's more beastly and organic, using these (instead of the drywaller stilts they used in this example).
Also - I never noticed how similar the Hyrule family seal is to the space marine logo. Moreso in these costumes, but it interested me.

But what about all those sexy short skirts from the original Trek? Goddamn neo-Trekkers.
Interview with Zachary Quinto on Jimmy Kimmel Live
WHAT A CHEEKY MONKEY!!!
Yesh, he is a cool guy.
EDIT: Whoops. Kimmel is gonna be getting some hate mail from the so-called "trekkers."
I am generally pleased with the new Star Trek movie (Blog Entry by swampgirl)
Agreed. It's surprisingly good, and it managed to have its cake and eat it too -- it's exciting and contemporary enough to appeal to non-Trekkers, while still staying true enough to the source material to please most Star Trek fans. It's well made, and most importantly it's a fun adventure film, and a good example of what a summer blockbuster should be. I can't wait to see it again.
Why it's a bad idea to do standup at a sci-fi convention
This man wins, but I highly doubt he didn't know the difference between Trekkie and Trekker. He has too much passion concerning Dr. Who, I just don't buy it.
Mourning Morn - Star Trek DS9
Geek?!? I'm NOT a trekker but yeah, ok, geek it is. Didn't know that bit of Cheers/DS9 trivia, and Dax was right, there was just something undeniably sexy about the "big guy"
Star Trek vs. Star Wars: What would happen if the starship Enterprise encountered the Death Star?
OH MY GOD... So begins the Geek/Nerd War between Trekkers & Star Wars fans. (Expect the comments to jump high)!
BTW... this was well done. Good job!
