Oh sweet zombie Jebus….Boebert was a hooker in Colorado and had multiple abortions. Her weak denials are less believable than Cawthorn’s, and the evidence is her “sugar daddy meets.com” page with provocative photos of her looking for “pay to play” dates, and an unreported $70000 “donation” from Ted Cruise after her sugar daddy introduced them and she visited Ted in Texas (when she was still an “unlicensed escort”).

The investigators that made this public have BEGGED her to sue them so they can depose her under oath about these charges. She’s toast.

This on top of the revelation recently that her mileage fraud, where she was reimbursed for her claim that she drove almost 40000 miles in a few months campaigning in Colorado, was perpetrated because she was bankrupt and needed $20000 to save her family restaurant (she hadn’t been paying taxes and the state was going to foreclose on her), almost exactly the amount she was overpaid for her fake travel expenses. Now under investigation.

And let’s not forget she was with her husband when he exposed his penis to two 15 year old girls in a bowling alley and defended him over it, making her complicit in child sex abuse.

This is the Trumpist heroine, his “best people”. Oof.

New Rule: Make America Grind Again

luxintenebris says...

As Jimmy Kimmel once said (paraphrasing), "The difference between a Rush Limbaugh fan and a Bill Maher fan is, fans of Bill KNOW he is an a**hole!" * And Bill talking about manhood is like Ted Cruz advising someone on how to make friends.

The Ball Count:
Those numbers are stark. Have seen similar numbers. CDC birthrates suggest bleakness. But suggest it isn't lack of manliness but the whole American lifestyle. Long work hours w/low compensation; having little say in how the government works; medical insecurity - - stress, stress, stress - - w/o many signs of hope. (lost a bundle on the Mitch McConnell security blankets)

a lot of issues brought up in his monologue but has very few clues to the reasons.

'Tho his answer to INCELS has already been better stated...

BTW. You know that violating the presidential records act, which Trump undeniably and admittedly, knowingly and intentionally did by stealing and hiding and destroying public presidential records, makes Trump ineligible for public office (and possibly eligible for 3 years in prison), right?

Please help make him the candidate in 24, to be replaced by Ted Cruz in mid October when he loses in court.

PS. Have you been properly instructed to be enraged at the hoodlums paraded out for the Super Bowl halftime show yet, hoodlems like billionaire Dr Dre, Mary J Blige, and Eminem? Way too….inner city for you? You know you’re supposed to be beside yourself that they didn’t have Ted Nugent and Kid Rock instead, right? The narrative is there were way too many black performers trying to entertain you with hyper sexual performances during your sports event (with nearly exclusively black players entertaining you). The far right media, Fox - OAN - newsmax are counting on you to be outraged.

Let's talk about altering the Supreme Court....

bobknight33 says...

To say that Republicans are politicizing the supreme court is nonsense. Democrats pick left leaning and Republicans pick right leaning. This is not new. Where were your complaints of politicizing when Sotomayor or Kagen were appointed?

But if you want to go there it started with Senator Ted Kennedy within minutes of Bork being picked by POTUS Reagen to be appointed took to the floor of the senate and thrown down the gauntlet.

They may be lean more conservative today however Its been leaning left last 50 years.

The fact that cases are now before the court is because some conservatives feel there is a chance to have their cases win.

Why bring these case before the supreme court if you know you would have a high likely to loose. All the cost time and effort.

WRT to the abortion issue .If overturned it just means that the decision goes back to the states.

Overturning a previous opinions has occurred and will occur in the future .

NYC's Anti-Vax Rally in 49 Seconds

yes, that is all too true. can be very successful yet be oblivious to the realities around them.

- remember an interview w/Ted Turner, while he was on top in the cable world (CNN was king). when speaking about business matters; very insightful. But when the questions about current affairs came around; he gave his opinion then changed it or said IDK anytime the interview offered a counterpoint.

- in an interview w/Colin Powell, as Sec of State, when the interviewer tried to corner him on how, looking at his GPA in HS and college, he ever made it to a 4-star general? all Colin would do was smile and say (something like) "It's good to be American. It offers many great opportunities to many people." That line of questioning ending in both parties smiling and chuckling.

- had to show our valedictorian how to put air into a tire. watching them struggle was hilarious but made one empathic.

also the belief anyone can become the president of the U.S.A. is both inspiring and terrifying. (as we all know now)

seeing this video, and the truth of the above sentence is a reason why education should become one of the top three, if not top, priorities, and quests of this nation. paired w/a universal form of national service* should provide all citizens will the skills to perceive wtf is actually going on.

*a former military serviceman, back from Iraq, noticed that Congress has far fewer former service members in their ranks since the early '80s. he noted in the military there are many ilks of service personnel, but they all work toward one goal. they have to - or they fail. reading this, have to believe - like Bush, Sr and Clinton both agreed on - that all Americans should put in some form of national service . since it'd foster a better understanding of other Americans: how they lived, how they were raised, their beliefs, the challenges they must face...i.e. see more than what's outside your 'bubble'.

this idea and a couple of other GREAT bipartisan ideas have waned since 9/11 but it'd be a hell of a fix.

* * * * realizing have wandered off the trail * * * *

or more concisely; to your point...

a body might not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but any tool can become useful.

I know a fair number of smart people who have bad skills in epistemology, who have very odd anti-tax beliefs.

But whose IQ in their area of expertise is high. Some, not too oddly, are frankly on the spectrum.

Others have been quite successful and intelligent in a narrow area and then--sort of ail outside it. A bit, I suppose, like a lot of us. Only on this matter, it matters.

From today's hearings....
“You know, I’m not afraid of Donald Trump running again in four years,” Representative Ted Lieu said. “I’m afraid he’s going to run again and lose, because he can do this again.”

Rep. Diana DeGette (D-Colo.), also got at this idea.

“All of these people who have been arrested and charged, they’re being accountable, held accountable for their actions,” she said. “Their leader, the man who incited them, must be held accountable as well.”

DeGette added later: “Impeachment is not to punish, but to prevent. We are not here to punish Donald Trump. We are here to prevent the seeds of hatred that he planted from bearing any more fruit.”

Mordhaus said:

Let's say they actually get the votes, I still think it's a waste of time. They bar him from being elected again, but nothing can stop him from naming an 'heir'.

If you think about it, that is even worse than him running again. If he runs, he will still unite every liberal leaning person and most fence sitters against him. If he designates a person for his supporters to align behind, they will get the almost half of voters that voted for him AND a lot of the middle who might be sick of Biden/Dems by 2024.

A victory here is, at best, a moral one. It won't stop a future President of Trump's nature from trying the same thing because that is the way a person like him acts. It does nothing but provide a feel good moment while wasting more of my tax money.

Killing Them Softly - final scene

my15minutes says...

loved it in the theater 8 years ago, but only sifted and self-*promoted now cuz i've had this scene in my head all day, knowing that tonight was the first presidential debate of 2020.

great cast, too. and 1 of the 3 movies (this, The Mexican, and True Romance) featuring Pitt and Gandolfini, all 3 of which i adore.

ps. her name was Sally Hemings, in the hopefully unlikely event that you didn't already know. thanks for coming to my ted talk.

BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC Official Teaser Trailer #1 (2020)

mram says...

I love Carlin, but he's not pivotal to any Bill and Ted story. It just suited him.

And I don't care about why this movie was made. I don't care that it's dated, I don't care that it looks forced. It's exactly the kind of silly humor I need right now, and like it's been said elsewhere, this might drag me out of my house to see in the theatre. Regardless, I'd pay to see it.

Original writers = check.
Dean Parisot = Respect!

BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC Official Teaser Trailer #1 (2020)

eric3579 says...

My mid twenties year old self really enjoyed the original, but I can't be the only one that thinks this trailer looks really bad. Not any funny in the entire trailer...imo.

(edit) i think in the original, Bill and Ted were exaggerations of a group of young people who actually spoke and acted like that. Today you would be hard pressed to find anyone acting like that, especially at the age they are portraying.
