What this means is, if we stop polluting tomorrow, the CO2 and other greenhouse gases will continue to warm us at the same rate for decades to centuries, but the sulfur dioxide that has blocked between .25 to 2 degrees Celsius temperature rise will be gone almost immediately, and a significant sudden rise in temp will be the result kicking off or feeding more feedback loops.

While it may seem he’s onto some global warming solution…just put more sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere…that ignores the lower growth rates and lost solar production it causes by deflecting a significant percentage of sunlight, both adding to net CO2 added to the system.
The incredibly scary part is the whitehouse and other international governments are actively researching ways to inject sulfur dioxide into the upper atmosphere despite knowing it has so many issues.

Twump lost another case, this time his attempt to remove his cases from New York State court to a federal court under a Trump judge, but his inept lawyers provided no evidence and only one witness that had no material information about the case and lost the appeal/motion. That’s why I believe there are few to no “good cops”. The few that exist are usually run out of law enforcement the first time they report criminal cops. The examples of this are endless. Everything from nonstop harassment at work with the chiefs approval or even involvement to straight out murder by fellow officers.

I can’t blame rookie cops, but anyone in the system over a year has become part of it.

I believe every officer should go through psychological testing by reputable testers, not cop psychologists, and civil rights retraining every 5 years max. Edit: I also cannot for the life of me understand why body cameras can be turned off, they should be always on and disabling one should be a crime. Mostly I think qualified immunity needs to be abolished. It’s insane for taxpayers to pay for police misconduct while the perps get extra paid vacation time at most. I think being a cop should be a sentencing enhancement, doubling any sentence and enforcing a minimum prison time for any crime that carries possible prison time. Abusing authority is no small thing.

I say take them all out 1 per month to give time to replace them without a two year hiatus without a court, in descending order of total bribes received. It seems Elon, on a guesstimate, decided the most powerful rocket ever built didn’t need any method of deflecting the thrust away from the plain concrete launch pad. He did plan to eventually try a huge steel plate under the rocket, but couldn’t get it done so just launched anyway with NOTHING.
NASA has been using both for over 50 years with success. A flame trench is a reinforced trench designed to redirect thrust horizontally away from ground infrastructure. A water curtain is exactly what it sounds like, a huge curtain of water dropped at ignition that absorbs the initial pressure/heat wave, also minimizing damage to ground infrastructure and lowering initial sound levels.

Why Elon decided he needed neither for the most powerful launch system ever is unfathomable. His launch pad is destroyed and this launch never even came close to 100% thrust. How many times does Elon have to totally screw the pooch as an engineer before they take his drafting table away?
