I don't see anything too special except for the name value 'Paris' carries. It just seems like a person was testing out the slowmo featuer on his/her new HD camera. Nothing interesting is really happening or being shown.

You could have the same video of Rome, NYC, Berlin, London etc etc and it would pretty much be the same. Meh.

First up, that footage is amazing. "terrifying yet beautiful" couldn't be more accurate.
But now, full-on grouch mode....
Overall, the video kinda annoyed me. The slow motion is over used and robbed of it's power. I would rather have seen at least a few shots of the guys riding in real time.
The editing also irritated me. I wanted to see the outcome of a few of those bails.
Finally the music, especially the start, just ruined it for me. I actually stopped the video at the start because I thought there was a glitch in my soundcard or something.


I'm not a big fan of surfing, but I found this video mesmerising for the very reasons you dislike it: the slowmo, editing and above all music makes it unreal, dreamlike ('twould've been shite without HD of course). Different strokes for different blokes and blokettes I guess!

and a top 15 stolen and killed in its prime.
Sorry the other video was better as it had a short slowMo shot at the end so you could really see the one dolphin spiking the other. So, its in my opinion that its not a dupe. Oh well, Points over quality in case.

Can someone please film things blowing up from 100+ different angles at the same time in slowmo, then compile the camera footage with the pieces of said exploded object flying straight at the camera? That would be the awesomest thing ever, specially if it were a permanent rig where you could blow something up every week and have a thing of the week exploded in slow motion at your face. You would become at least a hundredaire.
