Father uses his body to shield his infant son from car
From the slowmo, it looks like he already had the child in his arms and he only had time to slightly turn his body. Unsure if it was to jump out of the way or actually in the attempt to take the brunt of the hit as that car was going pretty fast. Scary situation, none the less.
Liquid Mountaineering....AKA RUNNING ON WATER!!!!!!!!
They ruined it with the last slowmo shot. You can see the edges of the plywood.

I'm always thinking about the great camera work, how do they do it?
Surely they didn't go and look for this gecko in the rain forest and be in luck that these few raindrops were falling perfectly when they had their slowmo cams ready?
As always, great vid from mr. Attenborough!
Well, I wouldn't be so sure about that. To create one of the documentaries, BBC wildlife teams can spend months in places just to get a few good shots. That's why their documentaries are always so top notch.
Anyone know from which series this is? I'm guessing "Life in Cold Blood", but I'm not sure.

If ever anything needed slowmo it was that. I failed to grasp the physics of what was happening.

30 ton truck @ 50 mp/h vs. Roadblock
Hi there
There was no slowmo in the middle- it was cut from raw footage straight from the testing site. I'm glad you like it- I work for the company! you can see more crash videos at http://www.heald.uk.com/PAS68K12-rated-road-blockers-1200.htm ;-)
30 ton truck @ 50 mp/h vs. Roadblock
Seemed to me like they had a slowmo in the middle bit, but you are right, there is no timeshift
Sorry about that. I took it out of that channel
That Iranian girl that was shot (Worldaffairs Talk Post)
Make a sift talk, put it in there. He body is not even cold yet and we want multiple angle, slowmo replays. I'm not entirely comfortable with that.
In time I can certainly see that video being sifted, but I don't think right now is a good idea. But I'm only one voice, so if most want it to be sifted I will accept that.
Edit: We are not the world news, we should not be putting this front and center of what essentially is an entertainment site, in my opinion.
Amazing Yoga Ball Flip! (5 secs)
If ever there was a video that needed slowmo, this would be the one.

Does this qualify for *timeshift with the repeated slowmo replays of him smashing his head into the ground?
