Thermite from a toy, is it possible?

ChaosEngine says...

Jesus, thunderf00t is such an arsehole, even when I agree with him, I still want to punch him.

What was the point of the digression about pressure waves?

And as for getting the aluminium powder from an etch a sketch... I dunno, maybe if you're engaged in a criminal enterprise you don't want thermite ingredients showing up on your amazon history?

Or maybe because "let's order the ingredients online" IS A FUCKING BORING STORYLINE.

SNL - Close Encounter

SNL - Guns

Trancecoach says...

I remember when SNL was funny. It's too bad they're little more than mere propaganda shills for the White House with humorless skits like this one (to say nothing of the hour-long campaign ad they ran for Hillary last week). I wonder if the writers of this terribly unfunny sketch are requesting that NBC do away with the armed security at their studio at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.

Primetime propaganda passing as entertainment will serve to debunk itself, week after week.

The Saga of the Tudor Job Agency and Sir Phillip Sidney

noims says...

I'd say out of all the episodes there are about two sketches I wouldn't upvote.

I would consider doing a 'python sketch of the week/month', but I don't really think videosift is the forum for that kind of thing.

However, in case you're interested, my current two favourite obscure sketches are 'Italian lessons' from the first episode, and 'finishing peoples sentences' from the last.

"Some of the guys aren't even remotely smiling" Amy rocks it

xxovercastxx says...

I have seen a number of the skits from her show and while they often have something clever to them, they generally seem to lack a punchline. However, I find her entertaining in interviews (eg her appearance on Comedians in Cars).

So I thought maybe I just didn't care for her skits... Standup and sketch comedy are very different and being good at one doesn't mean you're any good at the other. A few weeks ago I found Women Who Kill on youtube and watched the whole thing. Amy was funny in that. Unfortunately, it's because she's basically performing Bonnie McFarlane's act.

I got to discover Marina Franklin, though, so that was a plus.

DC's Legends of Tomorrow Trailer

JustSaying says...

To be honest, Arrow became a really good show (although I have to admit that season two was so far the strongest) and Flash turned out to be very good, going far beyond my own expectations. I worry what DC brings to the big screen a lot but I have zero worries about their CW shows. Only Supergirl makes me suspicious, mainly because of that SNL black widow sketch.
