What to you count as "before" the war? Jewish population in Palestine at set times looks as below:

So no, I don't believe you can really honestly say that the Arab-Jewish tensions that led civil war in Palestine occurred in an environment were the Nazi's were a distant memory.

I like to make my own stock from my veggie peelings and trimmings, I simmer them with a bay leaf and it ends up working pretty well.

Forget Bacon! Somebody post a video on how to make the perfect canna-butter or canna-oil. I've been trying to master the perfect canna-oil for a year now.


Low boil/simmer canna, butter, alcohol (ever clear or whatever), and water for a while (I don't know, a couple hours or so?). Afterwards, drain through a cheesecloth into a glass mixing bowl to remove canna material (trust me you don't need it, just try and wring out whatever you can). Put the bowl into fridge until you have a floating berg of green, delicious rendered butter on top. 7g (well ground) to a stick of butter should about do you right proper. Use the butter as directed in recipes. We usually make about 24 cookies. Be careful. Trust me. None of this "it isn't working yet, I should eat another 3." It's a rookie mistake. 2 for n00bs, 3 for vets. Our cookies come out visibly green, and they ain't pistachio. This can also work well and be a good use for larger quantities of trim ;-).

This was a single border crossing that happens to be on a Mohawk reserve. The federal government decided to arm the border guards at all crossings across the country. The argument against arming the guards in this particular crossing was that it would lead to an armed conflict between some of the people there and the border guards. That means absolutely crazy tensions already exist.
The conflict in Canada that has been brewing for awhile now is that the Mohawk people on this reserve, and many natives on other reserves across the country do NOT recognize themselves as Canadian citizens. They do not recognize Canada as their nation. There are treaties that lend legal weight to that interpretation, so they are in many/most cases right on this too. The trouble comes in when large portions of Canadian tax dollars are still being distributed to these non-Canadian reserves. Again, there is legal precedent in the treaties for this too, but it is becoming a major point of tension.
The most damaging tension in this is that the leaders of the reserves are nominally the leaders of their own independent nation, but it is a nation that is nearly 100% reliant and dependent on a much larger nation. When something goes wrong on a reserve, like the housing falling apart or the water supply failing, who gets blamed? The reserve leaders demand it's Canada's fault for not funding them. Canada says it's the reserve leaders fault because they DID fund them. The reserves are nominally independent so they largely refuse to allow any input or support from Canada except cold cash. The victims in all this are the people living on the reserves with corrupt or incompetent leaders and/or the ones living on reserves that aren't adequately funded by Canada. Things that get a lot of shit falling on top of them may get a 10-100 times larger share of the energy than the average depending on the parameters of all the materials (if you drop a hard thing onto mush, the mush absorbs most of the impact).
Also, imstellar, 99.9% of all legitimate scientists don't support the "WTC was an inside job done with thermite" hypothesis. For one, it violates occam's razor. The planes alone were enough. A lot of people actually DIED on those planes and were never heard from again. Plus there is VIDEO of the planes crashing into the buildings.

You'll have troubles looking up temperature in any scientific literature because the real measure that matters in energy. Temperature is just a measure of how much energy a particular object is storing in the form of heat. Jwray's very valid point is simply that a skyscraper is storing an utterly enormous amount of energy in the form of gravity. If even a small portion of that energy is converted to heat, which a collapse is guaranteed to do, it will raise temperatures of whatever material absorbs that heat. If it is concentrated enough it could melt whatever is heated up. The point is simply that the collapse turned more than enough energy into the form of heat to melt a good mass of steel, the question is only how that energy was distributed through the wreckage. Odds are in a random collapse it will be distributed fairly broadly, meaning less temperature increase per mass, but the already very hot steel may not have needed that much either.

All said, it is absolutely hard to say. Meaning it's hard to rule out the collapse and simmering fires within the wreckage couldn't have melted some steel over time. Hard say that would be expected either. The more complex an event is the harder it is to predict.
