On January 29, 2012 a man suffered major injuries and remains hospitalized while playing with firecrackers with his son and nephew. The accident occurred in Hunan province of China when Mr. Cai dropped a small firecracker into one of the holes of the sewer cover, which exploded an accumulation of gases. The force of the explosion was such that the sewer lid, weighing 20 kilos, was thrown a height of three stories. Fortunately, both children were at a sufficient distance and suffered no injury but Mr. Cai suffered facial burns and damage to the respiratory system by inhaling the flame produced by the explosion.

Very little. It was never built with that infrastructure originally. The older villas/buildings have cesspits built underneath with an access drain nearby. When it's full (which takes a long time!) you call up the municipality and they send one of these tankers (affectionately called "honey carts") to empty your cesspit.

Newer developments will have sewers and they will try and retrofit the infrastructure where they can. But yeah, it's a serious problem in Dubai right now.

Once you've read them, and realize that there are actually demands, and that they have been posted for quite a while now, understand that the movement, by necessity has to be leaderless, so coming up with demands needs to be done in an organic fashion taking into account a variety of viewpoints - this takes TIME. On that note, expect the demands to change and improve with time, those demands are just a snapshot. The whole point of the protests is that things have just gotten rediculous, there are so many issues the Government is not dealing with, so what would be the point of protesting against just one issue?

Protests can involve more than one issue? How unthinkable!!!
