Giuliani/Trump Donors/Associates Arrested Fleeing The U.S.
Oops....Trump's trade advisor went on Fox and stupidly admitted that as part of his trade talks with China he asked the Chinese to investigate Biden....well before Trump said the same thing on international television. This tanks the moronic Republican lie that Trump was only trolling the press when he publicly said China needs to investigate his political rivals, it was also an official request tied to his trade wars.
Numerous other Republicans are getting caught in this Giuliani slime web, having accepted massive foreign donations from Giuliani's friends with strings attached to each one.
Now, after pulling our forces from Syria where they were stopping Turkey from invading by their presence....for their safety and to get the U.S. out of the middle east he said, but really it's to protect his interests in the Trump towers in Turkey from state seizure....Today he announced he's sending thousands of troops to Saudi Arabia for their protection. (I guess so they don't have to use those weapons he's so proud they bought?)
These moves not only make it likely ISIS will survive and embed themselves worldwide, but also makes enemies of the Kurds, our staunch allies. It is foreseeable that a new, anti American Kurdish terrorist group will be the result. Who could possibly blame them?
Also this morning Trump lost another appeal trying to hide his taxes.
Will the madness ever end?

Batshit crazy Trump, after a few totally unhinged and embarrassing press conferences, this morning went on TV asking China, who he says is our enemy, to investigate Biden, his finances, and business dealings.
He claims Biden's son took $1.5 billion from China as a board member of an investment fund, but the facts are he wasn't even paid to be on the board, didn't own any of the fund until 2017, when he bought 10% for around $400000, making the total value of the fund $4 million, not $1.5 billion.....but Trump is incapable of not exaggerating monetary figures.
This makes 6 known instances of him asking foreign powers to interfere in the election by smearing his political opponents for his personal gain. You know....attempting illegal and illicit collusion.
I know, because Trump did it you're going to insist it's perfectly fine, legal, moral, ethical, and patriotic to do that.....
So......
What do you think about the Democratic candidates asking Merkel for Germany's help pressuring Deutsche bank to publicly release all Trump financial records, including taxes and records of exactly who has made major deposits to his accounts (hint, you don't want that info investigated)....to investigate the entire Trump family for unconstitutional corruption? You know, like sweetheart deals in China, Russia, and Saudi Arabia for Trump's children, who have actually made millions off the quid pro quo gifts they got from hostile foreign powers in exchange for arms deals, removing sanctions, recognizing Crimea as Russia, etc. from Trump. That would be fine too, right?

Third? Did you forget Russia and Italy?
Russia, Australia, Ukraine, England, Italy
We're up to 5 that we know for certain, and probably a dozen more they've hidden so far. It's naive to think he hasn't asked Netanyahu and the crowned Prince of Saudi Arabia for personal favors too....and probable he's pressured Turkey, Iraq, and pretty much any other country receiving military aid. I mean, after taking >$5 billion from the military for his fence (imagine if Obama had done that to pay for the ACA), he needs to make every military dollar do double duty.
He asked a third country via Borris Johnson to interfere in our elections also.

Trump Threatens War with Iran on Saudi Arabia’s Behalf
Imagine if the Ukraine only had the same respect from Trump as Saudi Arabia...
COP MESSES WITH THE WRONG LAMBORGHINI OWNER!!
To be fair the driver is from a terrorist country. UAE, Saudi Arabia, Washington DC, Syria, etc.
Edit. After watching, I apparently forgot to list Canada and Mexico.
Things Dems Don't Stand For
"The United States has been the world's top producer of natural gas since 2009, when U.S. natural gas production surpassed that of Russia, and the world's top producer of petroleum hydrocarbons since 2013, when U.S. production exceeded Saudi Arabia's."

Al Jazeera has a terrific visualisation of the Saudi war in Jemen:

And to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the illegal invasion of Iraq, the supreme crime for which none of those reponsible have been hanged yet, Jeremy Scahill outlines how the US have been piling up Iraqi corpses for 55 years:

Saudi Arabia apparently holds the Prime Minister of a sovereign nation hostage: link
Quick, let's sell them more weapons for their upcoming war against Lebanon. Maybe we'll even get the hot war against Iran we've been craving for more than a decade.
Here’s How Fake News Works & How the Internet Can Stop It
How many of those fact checking organisations would have flagged Judith Miller's Iraq pieces in the NYT as "deliberatly misleading content"? Or what about the 16 hit pieces on Sanders within 24h at Bezos' rag of a newspaper? And let's not even start about the reporting on the recent night of the long knives in Saudi Arabia ("reform", really? fuck off)...
Point is, the effort to curtail "fake news" regularly goes hand in hand with the suppression of non-establishment views while leaving the main sources of deliberate misinformation untouched. Remember PropOrNot and how Bezos' rag, amongst others, jumped on it? That list included prominent left wing/anti-war sites such as TruthOut, Counterpunch, TruthDig, ConsortiumNews, etc.
Want some examples of "misleading content" or "deliberate misinformation"? Just browse through the articles at Fairness & Accuracy in Reporting for a few minutes.
Why isn't science enough?
Comments show again what a totalitarian topic this is.
If you call this science, you can call scientists scientists who lobbied for tobacco firms, claiming it didnt cause detrimental health effects, claimed the leaded fuel issue wasnt linked to leaded fuel, eugenics proponents or people who used lobotomy and electro shock therapy.
Oh wait, they were.
Keep believing hypocrites. Humans and intelligent, if they cant even learn from history? Dont make me laugh.
Attack the imminent problems, like the hypocrisy in the conflicts in Syria or Libya. Then I am starting to take you seriously. But instead you whine about 0.1 C degrees and let millions of people die to people you elected and which will ultimately backlash to you too.
Just look at this fact: USA supporting ISIS and Al Qaeda through countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Israel, while also fighting it.
Unbelievable...
And dont tell me me "its not their job". Its everyones job to stop something like that, just like you claim on climate change. Even more so actually!
Do you think this practice belongs to another age?
I think Milkman's angle on things is relevant in a different way.
We don't need to form our morality to coddle, consider or otherwise care in the least about cultural or other reasons for doing stuff. However, when it comes to affecting change in a groups behaviour, those cultural traditions are a factor, whether we agree with it or like it or not. Bull fighting is really pretty small in that picture. Women's rights in a country like Saudi Arabia is a much bigger deal.
When we want to help out those we believe are negatively affected by what we see as immoral, we can't ignore the weight of cultural momentum holding it in place. We can easily say women should have equality and that it is morally the right position. When it comes to lobbying for changes or protections for human rights in those places though, identifying how to be least disruptive to existing culture is helpful. No, it's not our job to adapt their culture for them. However, if we want to see the change, we might have put in some of that work anyway when those we see as behaving immorally show no interest in doing it.
Can we please apply this logic to everything?
'We've been doing it that way for generations' is hardly an excuse for any inexcusable behavior or for ignoring the results of your behavior.
