The rotors and pads of which...would be glowing red hot and dripping bits of flaming debris as he comes to a stop before being mashed to by crossing traffic on Bay street at the bottom of the hill? Sort of like in those emergency runway brake tests they do for airliners?

Yeah, it's been a while for me too. The best one I remember was living off Valencia street in the Mission district of San Francisco. I dropped, went to sleep for a hour and woke up and the floors literally had mist flowing through the apartment like some sort of ethereal fantasy movie. When I went outside the fence was waving/bending in a mesmerizing way and the houses were continually sinking into the ground. I looked at some flowers and they were infinitely growing. The best part was looking in the mirror, it was like one of those youtube videos where someone takes a photo of them-self every day for a year - every second it was like a different photo of myself except very organic watching myself grow old, bald and with a beard and then back to normal, lol. It was fun, but I'd never do it again without some anti-anxiety pills around for the last 6 hours which I found to be fairly annoying. Plus, as Shpongle puts it "LSD? Do DMT." You can see those types of pro cop videos, I've posted some myself...but when they do it for personal gratification, web hits or a friend's web hits and not as a community outreach type thing, like here, I can complain that they did it on my dime. Same when the outreach gets out of control like batkid shutting down downtown San Francisco on a busy workday, costing untold dollars.
So sorry that I'm not on board with their viral marketing campaign involving abusing their authority for fun....I would rather have them working instead of wasting time trying to go viral. That doesn't come close to stopping them, though, so fret no more.

That is absolutely incredible. Recently moved away from San Francisco after 15 years, counting my blessings that I only experienced one 6.1 tremor. That one was scary enough to make my knees shake on end for many minutes afterwards but also not exactly dangerous enough -to not be a little fascinating. But, once you start getting into 7+s, I'm sure it's absolutely terrifying beyond description, especially liquefaction, freaks me out!

Also Id personally define Silicon Valley as Most of Santa Clara County(not all). Palo Alto to San Jose. I don't think of it as including the cities of Milpitas, Morgan Hill and Gilroy. Although, i think of it this way due to when it was first being used and the area in encompassed at that time. It's probably been ever changing depending on how the tech areas expand.

But you think maybe white people might be more friendly with officers during routine encounters because, say, the cops aren't systematically pulling them over and frisking them for bullshit reasons, beating them almost to death even after they surrender, or straight up executing them even when they're unarmed?

So are you really surprised that minorities treat the police with suspicion and aren't friendly when encountering one even during a routine traffic stop?
