Hillary Clinton appears to faint stumble during 911 Memorial

dannym3141 says...

I have a few questions if anyone would care to satisfy my curiosity, I've seen/read a lot of stuff and I don't know what the reliable sources are for this. I'll list them so they're easy to answer, and I'm not trying to imply stuff or score any points, I just want to know. Sorry if any of this is tin-foil hat rubbish but I've been unable to sleep recently and ended up watching a lot of old crap, in a weakened mental state.

1 - Were those people with her yesterday, and does she often travel with, a nurse and a doctor?
2 - What's with the coughing and sicking up green globules into the glass of water? Never seen anything like that green stuff before.
3 - Did she need help getting up some stairs a while ago, or were they misleading photos?
4 - Why did no one react to her going completely limp? I can understand the well trained entourage explanation, but they didn't even look around to check for danger, considering their VIP went lifeless.
5 - Why did they take a collapsed elderly woman with pneumonia to an apartment rather than a hospital?
6 - Why say it was heat stroke?
7 - Has she really been pulling out of a lot of campaign events?

To be honest, I don't find her collapsing a worry at all. I've collapsed due to illness and I'm healthy and fit. What i do find strange is the reaction and lying about it. Somehow that makes me question the other things, but there you have it - my questions.

I think Clinton and Trump are equally bad. Clinton represents everything that disgusts me about politics - the 1%, 'the establishment', privilege and modern society, she will continue to sign off murdering innocent people and destroying the ecosystem for profit worldwide. Trump is.. well, offensive, sexist, racist, but i think only because it makes him popular, like a school bully, but he doesn't understand the new platform he has or what effect his words have on how people behave, and all in all that makes him a cowardly, selfish, egotistical weasel who we're about to give the keys to everything. Either way, we are fucked.

Dear Gays: The Left Betrayed You For Islam

dannym3141 says...

You know for someone banging on about "precision of thought" (neckbeard for "I've found a way to twist your words and derail the discussion") I'd expect a little better than this.

Someone said to you that some muslim people can be as good as anyone else and in reply you said "oh, so everyone is EXACTLY as moral as everyone else?" -- What on Earth are you talking about? To whose points are you replying? The other person, or the one you've made up in your head? Precision of thought, mate!

In all but one comment you've made here you have either asked, "Do you think <something>?" or otherwise told them what they've said or thought that bears only an exaggerated approximation of what that person has said.

If you think you're like Russell Crowe facing down a new gladiator each time to the rapture of the crowd -- "NEXT!" -- I can't believe you said that -- well you're not. You are not replying to the person's comments or points - strawman rubbish, that's why people aren't discussing it with you any more.

gorillaman said:

Well that's a stupid thing to believe isn't it?

Do you think a fair sample of members of the KKK will be identically as moral as an equivalent sample of, to pick an organisation entirely at random, Helem?

Do you think some ideas are better than others?

When did we become a plastic society? jeff bridges

transmorpher says...

They tried improving the plastic bag situation in the state where I live. Failed miserably.

They created a law that would not allow shops to give away disposable plastic bags.

So now the stores simply charge you for slightly thicker "reusable" plastic bags..... and of course now we have a thicker plastic rubbish, since most people have never learnt to be prepared.

Videosifts Sarzys Best And Worst Movies Of 2015

JustSaying says...

@Drachen_Jager , my man, I can get why you dislike whiny, insecure Kylo Ren (and I hugely prefer him over whiny, insecure teenage Anakin) but have you ever considered that somebody can be very powerful in one area (the Force) and terribly rubbish in another (swordfighting)? Sure, a lightsaber can't become dull from wrong usage but this guys starts hacking at shit when he's throwing his hissy fits. Would a good swordsman do that?
He's wounded, survived quite the explosion, is rubbish at swords and just killed his dad. And you give him crap for merely getting away alive after taking on two people tag-teaming him?

Clever 3-way joint (Kawai Tsugite) explained

robbersdog49 says...

But the whole point of the joint is that it can be taken apart and put back together again in three different ways. Like he says at the end of the video it's a rubbish joint in every other way. As much as it would look solid, it wasn't.

Mordhaus said:

Slightly annoyed that he weakened the joint to allow him to be able to remove the pieces. Before he opened it up to allow for that, it looked pretty solid and, as he mentioned, like it wouldn't come apart if he forced it joined.

minuephysics - Why it's Impossible to Tune a Piano

Zawash says...

You can easily tune a piano in just temperement (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Just_intonation), but for one key only - it would sound rubbish in all other keys (some more than others), and thus you wouldn't be able to change keys during the song. The advent of equal temperement meant that you can change the key as you play, which is a major advantage.

Tuning a piano in equal temperement is to tune each string "absolutely", each being slightly off. If you want a just intonation in all keys absolutely in many different keys at once, you'd have to change the tuning or the strings every time you change the key during the song.

The problem is not a lack of technology, the problem is rather that it is a mathematical impossibility.

draak13 said:

More like, why piano tuning methods need to be brought into the modern level of technology. Slap a spectrum analyzer on it, and tune each string absolutely.

Real Time with Bill Maher: Why Voting Matters

RedSky says...

*promote

I agree with his point about Brand's position being rubbish. Voting matters even when the decision is between a lesser evil.

@Jerykk

But the thing is, the number of people with radical or highly partisan positions is quite low, just like the number of people who watch Fox News is relatively low. Many (probably most) do have fairly divided opinions or on the whole are too politically apathetic to be able to toe a party line.

I do kinda agree. If there were no parties there would be presumably more candidates and therefore more positions. A good comparison would be say Israel where parties emerge and die out, and where most governments are large coalitions with generally very varied positions.

Thing is, you still naturally get fairly stable coalitions and coalescing of view points into conservative or liberal positions (usually 2 or 3 distinct groups) simply because you still need majorities to win, and coalitions are much easier than trying to grow a minor party into an absolute majority winner. Even if the 2 party system weren't so entrenched in the US and there was preferential voting, you would still likely have that kind of result.
