It's Poop!?

jubuttib says...

While I can't say I like it personally, it's not that bad, and definitely only needs a very thin layer. It's more a spice, not a foodstuff. As a kinda related example I love soy sauce in my noodles or rice, but I bloody well wouldn't drink it out of the bottle.

No, see that's the thing. It tastes like crap if you put that much on! With just a smidge and plenty of butter it tastes bloody marvellous.

Apple Engineer Talks about the New 2015 Macbook

Mordhaus says...

The part that they play is basically when the guy was working for a restaurant. The cook needed 20 pans to cook rice in, but they were apparently so filthy the only way to clean them was to lay them in seawater. So he sent this guy down at low tide to put them in, not thinking that when the tide rose the pans would be gone.

Then in the morning he sent the guy back out to get the pans, but the tide had risen so he only found one. The cook got pissed and said that it was coming out of the guys pay, then sent him to another city to get pans from another restaurant. The guy, whom by the way is nicknamed Giggles, hopped on a bus and never came back.

Mochi-Making Machine

That's pretty wicked cool.

I had no idea it was made out of plain old cooked rice. Really neat.

I also like the handmade method where 3 guys hammer it round robin where each hammer just narrowly misses the previous one.

Korean girls taste American snacks (ENG sub)

Shepppard says...

I was thinking the same thing myself. I don't think I've ever had a chocolate rice crispy square, the non-cheddar goldfish, and I rarely eat twizzlers and salt & vinegar chips to begin with.

I honestly don't understand why they chose more kind of.. obscure snacks.

Jeez, at least give them the original flavor of each one. Plain Lays potato chips, Cheddar Cheese Goldfish, Original Rice Krispie Treats, and so on.

Coca Cola vs Coca Cola Zero - Sugar Test

korsair_13 says...

Sugar is sucrose. Sucrose is glucose and fructose combined and it is immediately separated in the body by the saliva in your mouth. Glucose is fine for your body, it is the energy storage system that metabolizes into glycogen in the liver. Fructose, on the other hand, is a toxin that is metabolized in the body similarly to alcohol, as ChaosEngine said. Essentially it is treated as a toxin and turned into numerous by-products which do things like: delay your leptin response (you feel full later, thus making you eat more), increase your high-density lipo-protein (increasing your cholesterol and storing fat in your liver), and decreasing your sensitivity to insulin (leading to type-2 diabetes).

As to what artician said, high-fructose corn syrup and sugar are treated exactly the same in the human body. In fact, here is a list of all of the things that companies call sugar to hide it when it is the exact same thing: brown sugar, caster sugar, fruit sugar, organic sugar (in fact sometimes they just put organic in front of any of these things to make it seem better for you but trust me, it isn't), evaporated cane juice, evaporated cane syrup, high fructose corn syrup, sucrose, glucose-fructose, brown sugar, honey, molasses, golden syrup, high glucose corn syrup, agave/agave nectar, corn sweetener, fruit juice solids, cane syrup solids, fruit juice concentrate, invert sugar, maltodextrin and even fruit juice.

All of the studies done in the last 15 years have shown that sugar is sugar and calories are not calories. All of the kinds of sugar that have quantities of fructose are bad for you, except when they have fiber. This is why fruit is still good for you while fruit juice is the same thing as soda.

The only things that you do not have to avoid as a sugar are these: brown rice syrup, dextrose and glucose. All of these things are completely glucose, no fructose whatsoever. Therefore, they are largely safe. However, large quantities of glucose can give you a large liver because of the stored glycogen.

Your random string of words in the title is a random string of words.

Maybe change the title from: The Angel Rice The All Star Games 5 double twists 4 lines
TO: Angel Rice: All Star -Twists

And ad some of these key words to the tags, to make them useful.

Japanese Sword skills - Modern Samurai Isao Machii

SquidCap says...

The rice split was impressive, you can see that his initial aim was a bit high, then at the last moment he twists the blade. That is extremely fast twitch, not conscious movement but a reaction.

Jon Stewart Goes After NFL over Ray Rice

Jerykk says...

I'm curious as to what constitutes self-defense in a case like this. Janay was clearly charging Rice in the second video. Would Rice's reaction qualify as self-defense if he had waited until she actually landed an attack first? Or is self-defense not applicable to men when the attacker is female? If the attacker had been male, would there have been any controversy whatsoever or would people have simply laughed and said "Hah, what kind of idiot attacks a professional football player?"

Apparently they were having a heated argument and Rice spat on Janay, which triggered the charge by Janay. Does spitting on someone constitute physical assault? Before they entered the elevator, Janay slapped Rice. Does that constitute physical assault?
