Excuse me?? Only two of us...?? Was I bored that afternoon...
No clue on how many are needed, I just thought heck, I am poor and I do not contribute, so at least I will try to do something useful.
Edit: wtf is wrong with the quoting?? I didn't touch one single character from the quote...

Comment function not working properly on a video (Geek Talk Post)

lucky760 says...

>> ^rebuilder:

That's what you think @lucky760 ! Comments in that sift overflow the designated area and get partially obscured for me, FF 3.6.13 on OS X.

That's not the problem everyone else was having. The entire comment listing just wasn't showing up.

It looks fine to me but I'm guessing the cause of your issue (which was the cause of the above issue) is the Chinese characters in some of the comments. Without seeing what you're seeing, I'm not able to resolve it for you.

length=44:46

Uh, isn't that supposed to be automatic?

It doesn't seem to play for me either.

@lucky760 when you open this video in a new page it shows a different video. What gives?

Don't know what you mean. Looking at in in a listing or on the single video page it looks the same. Only issue for me is the video won't play (but that might just be my computer).

VideoSift v4.2 (Sift Talk Post)

lucky760 says...

>> ^Stingray:

@lucky760: If I modify one of my videos to add a length in and I already had added a custom thumbnail previously, my custom thumbnail gets removed when I save it.
I also noticed all my other video thumbnails from YouTube and stuff are being updated when I update my videos for the length.
Could we add in a checkbox to tell siftbot to keep the existing thumbnail when updating? Or cache a variety of thumbnails to choose from?

Thanks for pointing that out. Historically, any time a post's embed code changed we would try to automatically update the thumbnail. Now that we have manual thumbnail replacement, I've removed that so the automatic thumbnail update will only happen if the video actually has no thumbnail.

I need to hurry up and get level 325,584,597,456 for thumbnail fixer!

Same here, nothing to do with caching or the cdn afaikt. It just doesn't seem to work. Works fine when changing them on your own video, although someone seems to keep changing them to yet a different thumb on my videos.

I mean, she speak the lines well and all, but just production values. At one point she even blows into the mic and it's really, really clear "woosh". I mean, couldn't they have done another take? Were they in a hurry to go the the strip club or wtf?

I remember recording http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pBRHKv_Pqk from one computer to the other with a mini-jack to mini-jack from one sound card to another. Good times.
Emperor was a more bold game, which tried to do a lot of things. It was one of the first 3D RTS games, which pretty much killed it for me, not because it was ugly, but because it freaking killed my PC at the time. The story was much more true to the book in that one too, with different houses and factions.
Dune 2000 was a straight re-make of Dune 2, but with the lessons they'd learned from C&C and Red Alert, ie. it was great.
>> ^calvados:
This was a really good game. Does the intro narrator have to speak so slowly though? It sounds like she has a nailgun nail in her frontal lobe.

I didn't like Dune 2000 that much. It wasn't bad.

So old Dune2ers, did you try http://drackbolt.blogspot.com/ yet?
