Best sound card I ever had back in the 90's was the Aureal A3D.

Amen. I remember the first time trying an A3D card and being completely blown away by the fact the "3D sound" was actually 3D sound! Incredible card, too bad Creative Labs bought them and then kiboshed them.

from the moment they bought and killed Aureal, Creative went downhill.
A3D had actual 3d positional sound, not shitty reverb effects that Creative started putting in their EAX.

The audio accompanying this video has very obviously been heavily modified, had the bass turned up, reverb added, etc. Quite possibly autotune or something similar was used. The knee-jerk emotional response to the song has obscured your view of truths that undermine your critique of her singing ability.
Also, Amazing Grace is a horrible song. It's just religious woo woo.

Reverb and bass does not equal "heavily modified". It equals some mixing and affects. Which is usually standard when performing a song. I mean, she does seem to be in a studio of some sort. Heaven forbid they should actually use what's available to them! I didn't hear any evidence of pitch correction being used because she actually goes flat a time or two. Over all, not a bad rendition for a 7 year old.

whats funny is despite it been all realy instrments recorded live , the backing sounds realy artificail. especaily the drums .

It'd be because the elements are all being recorded in isolation and them mixed. You're seeing the video and expecting a 'live' sound to it with inherent reverb/echo/etc. but instead all the elements are individual.

If you don't watch the video it sounds pretty much 'right'.

3D Soundwaves!

how about that's not how sound waves propegate?
That is art, not science.

Yeah, I would like to know what's generating the z coordinate here - is it a pretty pattern algorithm or some other property of the recorded sound.. reverb or something?

OMG I really can't see how this will help music.

Quick adjustable reverb and vox effects is a huge boon to people recording in their own makeshift studio, and it just sounds cool in general. Effects are best if used tastefully and/or in moderation. Autotune as a vocal effect has ruined the idea of using vocal effects for most people, but really it's not that the effect itself is bad, it's actually quite cool, it's just that a bunch of fucktarded "musicians" overused it to shit.

Epicest HL2 Mod in Existence

I like how he actually did try to mirror the real sounds. Like some of the "sound effects" have the proper reverb effects on them, etc.. and others like the pistol, at first I'm like, 'huh?', then I think back to how the pistol actually sounds and it's like.. 'Hey yeeeah'.

Bale's Burlesque (by lavoll)

hehe, this is how i doodle when i am procrastinating at the office. i can't draw, so i end up making strange things like this.
the idea here was that i also wanted to make something from christian bale's rant, but the techno ideas have already been done, so i made something else.

his voice sounds like it goes through a vocoder, but it is actually loaded into "Alchemy"'s granular engine, which chops the sound into tons of little snippets/grains that you can manipulate, here by singing a new melody. the "gimme a gimme a gimme a fucking a" in the start, is that sound.
the more normal bale scream was sent through a guitar amplifier with a spring reverb to make him even more screaming.

so then i had lots of sour

time to add something sweet

the stripper is from www.archive.org and her dancing already fit very well with the "swing" in christians screaming rythm. i did some things like reduce saturation and increase contrast on the long shots, and opposite on the close ones.. etc. fun in "Vegas".

but i still haven't done my accouting for last year
