Massive Police Chase Against Stunt Motorcycles
They're holding the front brake and spinning the rear tire, just like a burnout in a car except they don't have to overpower the rear brakes because they operate seperately.
What is it that the cyclists are doing when they're clearly hauling-ass, but still leaving smoke trails?
Go Cart Literally Flies Past Competitor
Open wheel, no weight....her front hit his rear wheel and 'VOOP', she's airborne!
How the hell did that even happen?
Australians apparently can't sink...
Without the locker, one wheel spins, not both. So he has an asymetric 'paddling' with the rear wheels...if both were spinning at the same time / speed, he would have made it straight over (still floating..)
This is an ignorant question, I'm sure, but why would that solve the flotation problem? (Not an off-roader)
Australians apparently can't sink...
Had he turned his rear locker on he probably would have gone straight across
Slow Motion Bicycle Race Crash
I never broke a crank or pedal, but I did fold a number of rear wheels into tacos doing exactly this back in my riding days. I eventually learned to stop pedaling until I was done leaning hard in a turn, and to keep my inside pedal 'up'. I have also, at slower speeds, recovered from pedal grinding, but at these speeds he was hosed.
Looks like the orange rider grounds his inside pedal. Very dangerous. Avoidable, but once you ground it, a wipe-out is imminent, as it lifts the entire bike off the ground. Often breaks the pedal or the crank, to boot.
Oregon Cop Kicks Biker in Chest
Wilkens was awarded more than $180,000 in total damages.
Jurors additionally determined that Edwards acted with negligence when his police car rear-ended Wilkens’ motorcycle, but ruled that the veteran state trooper did not violate Wilkens’ rights by pointing a gun at him and using force to handcuff and then pull Wilkens to his feet.
Wilkens suffered a broken left clavicle, a fractured rib and other injuries in the Aug. 3, 2012, incident.

Some other nice bits in the article, the officer was driving an unmarked chevy camaro, was unaware that it was equipped with a dash cam, and blamed the rear ending of the bike on 'brake fade' (which a brake expert testified was rare in modern brake systems).
It's a fun read, also the cop was later promoted to captain.
Really? That broke his collar bone?! It seemed like he barely connected, but if he won in court, I'm sure there was medical evidence.
How much did the jury award him? I hope a lot. Not for the kick, but for ramming him when he clearly only noticed the cop at the light, and then he immediately put his blinker on and even gave an "oh crap" head hang right before he stops and gets rammed.
I wonder if the cop even had his lights and siren on before then, since there's no sound we cant tell. He certainly wasn't up close enough to be heard on a loud motorcycle until the end, nor was he making his presence known before then.
Even if the bike wasn't stopping, he wasn't endangering anyone, so there was no reason to hit him, possibly seriously injuring or killing him, in the first place. Speeding is not a capital offence. Intentional vehicular homicide should be, even if you wear blue pants with a racing stripe.

That version has much better sound than the one posted by Frikadelli racing, but is missing the rear view:

Well worth another watch, and thanks
Where are the cops when you need one?
Bob you still haven't thought this idea through any further, its a terrible idea. I'll explain why but its probably going to be a bit long but bear with me and you'll understand why you are 'dead' wrong.
So "Bob's Law" is now in effect, Mr Bandito is in the back of a Taxi committing an armed robbery demanding the taxi driver hand over his money and valuables. Mr Bandito notices that the taxi driver has been getting looks at him in the rear view mirror. While the driver is nervously fumbling and trying to pull out the wallet he is sitting on in his back pocket, it crosses Mr Bandito's mind that "Bob's Law" is in effect and as soon as the driver hands him the wallet over Mr Bandito shoots and kills the taxi driver.
Mr Bandito did this because the punishment (death) is the same for robbing the driver as it is for murdering the driver. An alive taxi driver would make it easier for the police to catch him and Mr Bandito is of the same propensity as the folks that passed this law and so to him it now makes sense to kill all witnesses of an armed robbery as procedure, as the penalty is the same either way.
I'm not saying that.
Give the guy his trial and provide this overwhelming evidence and convict.
Save the taxpayers money and send a strong message.
Tailgater vs Brake Checker
The tailgater was of the super aggressive type and 100% in the wrong for their actions. If they'd looked at the road situation they would have seen the merging car that meant moving to the right was a bad idea for the car in front, and waited the extra 10-20 seconds it would have taken for the first car to safely move over.
The front car did nothing wrong until they braked unnecessarily because they were upset at being tailgated. It is always the following cars fault if they rear end someone, but I wouldn't be surprised if the police were tempted to charge them with something like dangerous driving based on that footage. I'm sure they could argue their foot slipped or they thought they saw a deer though.
So yeah, both are jerks in my mind but the tailgater made it all possible.
It's OK, we have a big truck and we can get you out...
Don't think this is a Russian only problem. I have seen and heard of plenty of stupid towing stuff here in North America.
You have to attach to the main frame, and nothing else. Not bumpers, not axles, not nose/tail sub-frames. The pros can wheel tow because they have the right equipment and know what they are doing.
My aunt almost had her bumper ripped off when someone tried to pull her out of a snow bank. Another person stopped and checked what they had attached to and told them to move it to the frame.
There is also that classic video of the guy getting his entire rear bumper and trunk ripped off his Cavalier when not only did they attach it wrong, the had slack in the tow cable and just gunned it.
The Bose Suspension In Action
I really think there must be some forward-looking sensors scanning the road and instructing the suspension in how to act. It doesn't look like it's reactive in any way mechanical, like a spring compensating, but more proactive, where the suspension is acting before the mechanical parts even have a chance to sense any change in the road.
I think the bunny hop may simply be a happy accident where the system reacts to a discrete change in height with such an extreme set of actions (that actually begin first in the rear suspension) that it causes the car to bunny hop.
The Bose Suspension In Action
The first thing you need to understand is the suspension doesn't use springs or shock absorbers. The whole thing is linear electric motors on each control arm. (Great huge solenoids) The suspension moves up and down independent of weight or inertia. It works fast enough that it starts to compensate for bumps BEFORE the tires hit the bump.
This system has more in common with a 1965 Impala with hydraulic rams bouncing in a parking lot than a conventional car suspension.
For the most part, it scans the road ahead.
See a dip down? Extend the wheel.
See a bump up? Retract the wheel.
I'm fairly certain the ollie was manually instigated by the driver.
Much like hitting the turbo boost on K.I.T.T. it's just a button and the computer does the jump.
Press button:
Retract the wheels, starting with the front. (to maximize suspension travel)
Push down hard on front, then rear wheels. (Launch car up)
Retract front then rear wheels. (tuck the wheels up)
*car passes over 2x4*
Push down on front, then rear wheels.(ready for touchdown)
*tires hit pavement*
Retract front, then rear, wheels slowly to absorb impact.
I'm very confused by that bit. Was that bunny hop activated by the driver (how?) or autonomous (and again, how)?
Everything You Need To Know About Anal
They make it sound like Clearing the Rear Admiral is kind of optional, most advice on the subject I've ever heard or read made this sound pretty mandatory. I sure as hell wouldn't want poop on my dick.
Lamborghini submarine
That moment when you are glad your supercar has a rear air intake.
This dog got the shock of her life during surprise reunion!
I expected some growling before she caught dad's scent...but there was no way she wouldn't recognize his smell, even under the blanket, so I don't think there was really all that much danger of his getting bitten in the bum. I think recognition happened at exactly 1:25 from watching her rear mounted happiness indicator.
