I've been thinking for a while that we need something like a social media system that's highly informed by / based around trust. Like, we could each indicate 100% trust in the identity of people we personally know (or lower percentages, as warranted), and invisibly rate the degree to which we trust statements / posts / linked content of whoever / whatever entity. The system would build up aggregate "trust levels" for different entities / pieces of information, and be designed to do the best possible job of letting us know how "bullshitty" things are (or are likely to be). We're rapidly approaching a point after which we can't inherently trust any media, as literally everything can be faked. So we'll need some way to properly gauge how dubious it's reasonable to be.

No, they report the official count. Reasonable people understand when it's impossible to swing the results and, for the good of the country, concede and facilitate a transition. Since there's no evidence of illegal votes, that's not worth responding to. Votes are vetted in multiple ways before being counted. Our local stores limit customer numbers and some will act as personal shoppers for anti maskers and serve them curbside. We have had 200 cases county wide so far in the highest risk state, so it's working here so far.

Only kids under 10 are lower risk, kids over 10 are the same risk factor as everyone else, and under 10 can still bring it home to those more at risk. Restarting schools in states at high risk, nearly all states right now, is a guarantee of a longer, more deadly, more costly second wave.
