I'll have the Greek omelet with a side of scrapple.

Sorry, but I'm 99.6% sure this is totally fake.
Watch the guy who removes them...he's already reaching for the first chick before it hits the pan, before it's even out of the egg...he totally knew it was coming.
Also, (if you've raised chicks, you know) chicks come out of an egg damp, these chicks were completely dry.
Now, look at the start of the video...notice that all 3 eggs are in the container in odd, raised up positions? Notice that he almost grabs the corner egg, then remembers that's not the one with a chick in it and grabs one of the raised eggs?
This was a blatant attempt to create business for their road side omelet stand....and I agree they should all be dropped onto a giant hot wok and have their feet burned to a crisp for this.

Where the fuck is the cheese!?!?!?! Clearly not an omelet.

A three-and-a-half minute video to show us, "how to make an omelet in one minute"?
I'm confused by this statement.

Hold it, closed the omelet while the top was still uncooked (AKA RAW) - Then put cold ingredients into it. That doesn't sound like an omelet I'd want to eat!

Letting BoA fail won't do much of anything to prevent other banks from doing what they shouldn't be. And the simple fact is BoA or any corporation that size isn't monolithic. Some people had nothing to do with the fraud, and would lose their jobs.

Not to mention what it would do macroeconomically to the US.

Those are all fine ideas but the time for them has passed. If our leaders had the integrity, ability, etc. to do as you suggest then there wouldn't be an Occupy movement. If our politicians, judges, and other civilian authorities were not wholly owned subsidiaries of the banking industry then I think the suggestions you make would have a good shot of happening.

You're wrong. His omelet was the greater good of Germany. He broke a number of eggs that involved crimes against humanity, segregation and imperialism.
He was building the utopian society. Through force and coercion.
That aside, the civil rights act is poorly written and a huge encroachment on our rights. It stands in the way of equality because it tips the playing field unfairly and tries to legislate the hearts and minds of men and women. Terrible central planning morass.


But here's the thing, you're aiming for a utopian society too, and though you won't admit it, you're proposing to use force and coercion to get there.

The difference is, I care about the actual outcomes for people in our society. For you, the only thing that matters is that force is always used to uphold your vision of morality. Property owners get absolute authority, and people who challenge that authority should get violently coerced to stop. If it turns out that setting things up that way makes life qualitatively worse for wide swaths of people, you say so be it. You have to break a few eggs to make a liberty omelet.

I say that the goal here is to maximize human happiness. If you could convince me that something I believe in (like the Civil Rights Act) has created more suffering than it alleviates, I'd change my mind.

I think you've got a pretty hard case to make on the Civil Rights Act though. You'd literally have a better chance of convincing me that making an omelet is wrong; to make an omelet you have to kill the unborn children of a living creature! By the same token, you've got a pretty easy case when it comes to the things that made people like Hitler, Stalin, Pinochet, Pol Pot, etc. infamous.
