Ultra High Speed Video of Nikon D3 Shutter Action
^a pretty little woman inside every D3. Gotta love Nikon for their ingenuity.
Proof the Nikon D3s is the best DSLR ever!
>> ^blankfist:
If only you could sync sound with these DSLRs, they'd put the movie industry on its head. Beautiful footage. I am amazed.
The Canon 5D Mark II helped "HD video in DSLR" take off, but AFAIK you still have problems with stuff like rolling shutter in the video... its good quality video but not as good as a dedicated video camera.

is it just me or is 399 quite a premium?
It's a fair bit, but way less than I would have expected for the FIRST of this type. The price is only going to come down from here. Usually the first with some leading edge tech is ludicrously expensive... this is only expensive in my eyes, not crazily so.

Very good, as usual.
Observation: Are women without shaved pussies becoming an endangered species? The last three women I dated were all bare down there. Nothing wrong with it, mind you, but I still prefer a little bit of fur on the beaver.
I'm with you KP- no shaving at all please. Amazed as usual that this is all from a DSLR.
FYI, this video was shot with my new DSLR, the Canon T1i. The old Nikon D90 had too many caveats for shooting video. I too shall go on record; while grooming is preferred, shaved is not a pref for me.

It is a brilliant and ridiculously expensive camera.
Yes the D5 is a bit steep at 3200 USD. The Nikon D90 that I use is far more reasonable at 900 for the body only or 1200 for the "kit" with a good starter lens.

Figured I should jump in here and say thanks to everyone for their compliments, Thank you.
The video fell together nice and easy, I cut it and added music in about an hour.
The camera is a Nikon D90 for those interested and is a fantastic DSLR still camera and good as a video gathering device, takes lots of caveats to make video look good, so I certainly understand Farhad2000 reluctance to endorse it as a video camera. It shoots video at 720P @ 24fps and that along with a lens that has a short focal length gives it that warm film feel.
Already looking forward to next years sift-up, and by the way If anyone wants to send along a plane ticket (round trip) to London I would be glad to shoot for their up coming sift-up as well

some one reminds me of Dr House...
Ive got a nikon D40. It does most of the work for you... that's why I like it.

Why are you cross-posting your CNET user reviews in this thread?
>> ^Farhad2000:
Oh Nikon D90. If only you had input audio, didn't overheat, had better video controls, didn't scan line by line and could film for longer.
For now it's all about the Canon 21.1 MP EOS 5D Mark II, but then again it doesn't cost two thousand dollars more. Better yet sell your house and get a RED ONE Camera.
YouDieJoe did a good job editing and working around the D90s faults, the biggest being the the scanning of line by line from top to bottom, so if you move the camera too much you would see the image physically sway side to side (aka rolling shutter). Stationary shots are the best for it.

I second that. Excellent work. It was a lot of fun hangin' out with you at ze Sift Up.

January 2009 Los Angeles SiftUp a Great Success (Sift Talk Post)
Look at YouDieJoe trying to film video on that horrible Nikon D90!
Mono audio, terrible controls, no AF, no zoom, no manual controls, terrible top down scanning when filming and what like 5 minutes record limits?
And Lucky what kind of camera do you own that still does red eye?

Long Gone - Music video
Boring music, boring video! The band kinda reminds me of boredom. Another new band for me to not listen to. The fact that it was created entirely from 45,000 Photographs taken by a Nikon DSLR, is not impressive. Animation has been around for something like a hundred years and still every time someone makes an animation film everyone goes: wow! thats so...art...like! It must have taken an eternity! you must be a very patient person! how many images? 45.000?!?! wow thats a large number. you must be able to count very far.
sorry. Hope noone got personally offended.
