Wikipedia's Bias
Ever try to trick a dog w/the fake stick toss? Even they stop and scan to find evidence. (ours learned the ruse quickly)
spins my gourd that folks are SO EASILY misled by these fairy tales of teachers indoctrinating kids (yet, they can't get them to sit still, stop talking, or return materials on time); fears of giving citizens PSTD with known history (but explaining why 'person. woman. man. camera. tv' is NOT unsettling); or libraries can't be trusted to be run by librarians but the by the government (what were Ben Franklin and Andrew Carnegie thinking?)
look, boy! go get the stick! (no wonder all the anger. can't find it. but it has to be here!)
BTW: Roy and Silo thing is nuts. (not mentioned but peripheral involved) rather listen to John Oliver analyze "Air Bud". a lot less loopy.

Kyle Rittenhouse Trial Week 1 Summary
Bob,
This is completely correct; however, it is not a viable defense. You cannot go "looking for trouble" (trust me, I know this one).
Here's a link to a counter-argument, out of fairness sake:
https://www.ojp.gov/ncjrs/virtual-library/abstracts/looking-trouble-framing-and-dignitary-interest-law-self-defense
This part is what will send Baby Rambo to Fed for the next billion years:
"This means that any lawful intent or behavior that may have contributed to the confrontation should not be used to undermine the claim of self-defense."
Please note the "lawful intent or behavior" part. Everything Rittenhouse did was illegal up until the point when he went postal on innocent, if rowdy, protestors. The prosecution is going to nail him to the cross and he won't be coming back in three days.
@JiggaJohnson
@bcglorg
Prosecution's Main Witness ( victim) Admits Kyle Rittenhouse Acted in Self-Defense
Having a illegally owned a gun and self defense are 2 different crimes
as else mentioned" Evidence wise though, it looks like self defense, after breaking many laws and putting himself in harms way, is still factually part of the night.

Mom Reads Sexually Explicit School Library Book to Board
I noticed all the top reviews are 1 star reviews complaining about a book they clearly haven’t read and, as I hinted above, actually claiming it can be found in 4th grade school libraries. These reviews were mostly posted Sept 10 or afterwards , and all have 400 + people found this helpful ratings, putting them first even though the book has a 4 star rating (it was higher yesterday). I just reported them for abuse of the rating system, you all should too….it’s blatantly obvious they are basing their review on this video, not the book.
The things she must think about Family Guy….it’s so much more graphic, and impossible to hide from her 4th grader unlike a book … unless they’re Amish.
Poor Cameron. She might let you sink but she wont let you fly.
Dont like the book dont read it. Is it good? Is it bad? Oh it mentions sex? You know what, sex exists! And you know it does after you are at least about 12 or 13 so you certainly should read a book or something. By 18 it might actually be too late.
I have this memory of a beach in England where I was playing with some other kids in the sand and a turn in the coversation suddenly made them ask to see my dick. I pretended not to understand, they asked louder so I ran away from them because they were weird. 10yo kids know dicks exist.
Edit: Its just a book.

Here's the ALMOST IMMEDIATELY part (1:49:54 - 1:55) (almost exactly 5 minutes after his tweet)
1:55 p.m. The U.S. Capitol Police are evacuating some congressional office buildings due to “police activity” as thousands gather outside the Capitol to protest the electoral vote. Police told congressional staff members they should evacuate the Cannon House Office Building and the building that houses the Library of Congress. It wasn’t immediately clear what specifically sparked the evacuation. A police spokeswoman did not immediately respond to calls and emails seeking comment. Thousands of people have descended on the U.S. Capitol as Congress is expected to vote to affirm Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential win. Videos posted online showed protesters fighting with U.S. Capitol Police officers as police fired pepper spray to keep them back.

I know what encourage means. I know what stirred up means. I know what helped instigate means. I know what aroused means; when those phrases refer to a crowd.
And that's what is here.
Don't expect any more from me on this topic. Frankly I'm at a point where i don't care if you understand or not because it's right in front of you, clear as crystal.
People do not use specific words for no-reason.

The Most Popular Programming Languages - 1965/2020
How so? I've always found C# docs to be quite a bit better than the equivalent Sun/Oracle's Java docs. Language features like auto-property/fields, Lamda expressions, LINQ, etc have been sorely missed in Java (at least by me) until recently. Admittedly, the C# frameworks are a bit lacking compared to the Java ecosystem though. I will admit that I've had to get back into Java recently for my job and after starting to use IntelliJ, it's actually made Java mor enjoyable.
My programming started with BASIC on an IBM XT back in the 80s and various programming books, mainly just copying the programs as written then trying to modify them. This book in particular was pivotal for me as I loved the old Infocom text adventures of the time:
Write Your Own Adventure Programs For Your Microcomputer:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bxv0SsvibDMTYkFJbUswOHFQclE/view
(It looks like these books were released for free by Usborne: https://usborne.com/browse-books/features/computer-and-coding-books/ ... what a nostalgia trip!)
In high-school I learned C and LISP for Autocad programming. I continued to learn about C (plus a little C++) and ASM thanks to John Carmack and DOOM/Quake. Wrote my own computer games (mainly RTS as the Command and Conquer series was big back then) ... nothing great but I thought they were cool.
Dabbled in Java a bit in college but ultimately shifted to C++ and C# after getting a consultancy job and that is what I continued with until recently. Now I'm back into Java and currently trying to catch up on all the front-end Javascript libraries now as well as tinkering with Perl, GO, and Objective-C.
C#? You have my sympathy. That ecosystem TEH SUX!

seeing the discussion between bob and newt reminds me of this george will observation about d.j. dimwit's tweeting...
"He has an advantage on me, he can say everything he knows about any subject in 140 characters, and I can't."
b.k.'s "..a distant fear that never occurred." was a sign to stop. akin to "road out ahead". but being adventurous, forged ahead to see how big the gap was.
give this one to newt. there was a gully washer in bob's neck o' woods
here's an insightful observation...
One good phrase or political catchword is worth more to him than cartloads of dry exposition and theory. A catchword gives the unthinking mob not only the material for an idea, but also furnishes them with the pleasant illusion that they are thinking themselves.
