That's a logical fallacy and utter bull. The government can and does keep big, very important secrets.

It's obvious that the building was rigged.

The point of the "official" investigation was not to uncover the truth: it was to highlight evidence that supported the official excuse, and suppress or ignore any evidence that challenged it.

I've made this comment several times, and I'll keep making it. After the Empire State Building was erected building commissions got worried about the impact of a building falling and damaging other buildings. IT IS UNIVERSAL BUILDING CODE that ANY structure over 3 stories in height to fall on itself to minimize damages and casualties to surrounding areas.

On top of that to you can look at the way the World Trade Center was constructed. They have a more ridged and reinforced outer support structure that acts like a shell. The inner structure is a bit more flexible and was designed with the intent of having the outer shell contain any collapse of the building. Why? Because they were going to be the largest buildings in New York City.

I'm an Architect, I've designed close to a hundred buildings now and I can tell you that structural engineers look at this kind of stuff and have noted it on plans they have reviewed. So the "towers falling straight down like in a controlled demolition." It's bullshit, it would have happened with or without government ninja-placed secret hidden explosives all over the building.

The reason these conspiracy theories don't make sense is because they hold no COMMON SENSE! They don't take into account that architects think about designing for disasters. Much less how the government could shut up so many people. Lets face it they couldn't keep Watergate, Lewinsky, or other scandals from surfacing. They couldn't keep this a secret if they wanted too. So all you nut-jobs that keep thinking the government is behind 9/11, try applying research and common sense in your reasoning and you'll find that it actually makes more sense then anything any wacko can spout out on his blog.

Goofball: The reason that they didn't bury the Monica Lewinsky scandal is because they needed it to cover the lack of response by Clinton to the USS Cole bombing, the Camp David bombing, and the pardoning of Osama Bin Laden. All of which would look worse then the scandal.

Saying the media is liberal should just be reworded to say "given the choice, the media will side with the democratic party" with the exception of Fox News, talk radio, and the Wallstreet Journal. I read a study that found that if you do not include Fox News in the survey, only 6% of those working for the mainstream media voted for Bush in last election. During that election, on election day, the bias of each media outlet was very painfully, but very hilariously obvious. If you watched the news that day, you know what I'm talkin about. Anyway, many studies have been done simply counting the number of positive and negative stories about presidential candidates and they always show that the media (except fox) is positive toward democrats far more often than it is positive toward republicans (and the converse). Who cares if that is liberal or just center globally. It's liberal in the USA... and that's what we're talking about.

And about lewinski? Of coarse they'll eat that up on every network. Ratings! If they dodged that story, they'd lose most of their audience to networks that didn't dodge it.
And Iraq? The media has been against that war from day 1... even before day 1. They report nothing positive about it and only recently have admitted ANY advances or successes. They ridicule any politician who focuses on positive results whether they're true or not. They ignore or attempt to marginalize every positive report there is.

yeah, except for the overwhelmingly enormous population that doesn't. Fox News absolutely dominates the cable news ratings at basically every time slot. O'Reilly has the highest ratings of any opinion show on the news consistently. Fox routinely maintains about 6 of the top 10 news show slots in every cable news rating list. They are a juggernaut. If only because it is the only conservative leaning network in the US. All the rest have to share the dems. Fox gets the most attacks for the same reason. There is only one republican leaning station, but many dem leaning ones. Fox is outnumbered so it looks like they are attacking everyone and everyone is attacking them. If there were another right-leaning news station, it'd share the brunt of the libs' indignation.

vermeulen is right.. the media doesn't have a political alliance, it has a financial alliance to stuff that makes money. and it just so happens that right wing shit like outing homosexuals and killing iraqi babies makes more money, so that's what they show. And the sheeple continue to feel like they actually have their own opinion.

Obama speaks of all these idealistic things but they simply aren't realistic. And besides, once you're president you should be busy fixing all the damage Bush administration has done, not some goddamn system change. That'll throw the entire nation into chaos and NOTHING WILL GET DONE. Besides, things he speak of can be done even without him having to be president. He's still a democrat. He'll have buddies to work with in the congress.

Bill Clinton, the knight in shining armor on a white donkey of democratic party, has admitted he would violate individual rights from US constitution if it meant saving the nation from Nuclear holocaust. And his political career isn't too far away from this idea either. But Hillary gets blammed for doing similar things her husband already has done. You guys really think Bill Clinton's campaigns and administration was squeaky clean???? (other things than the Lewinski scandal of course).

Hillary's campaign isn't something equal to a nuclear emergency, but it means she is willing to get down and dirty in the filth of politics. I really hope she wins democratic election. So stop bad mouthing Hillary for being realistic and knowing how to play the game.
