Lamborghini Tire Explodes going 130 MPH at Nordschleife

newtboy says...

Never buy tires rated for lower speed than your car's top speed.

130 mph isn't that fast at all, especially for a Lambo, those tires must have been old, defective, or a low rating that never should have been installed on a sports car.

How To Wreck Your Precious Lambo Aventador

nanrod says...

To clarify this is London, Sloane Street. The Mazda comes out of a two way street onto a two way into the path of the Lambo. The Lambo clearly has the right of way but the Lambo appears IMO to be going way too fast. I think both will be getting nailed on their insurance.

That's not true. You can't indiscriminately speed around - we all abide by the rules and use the roads assuming that other people are also using the rules, i.e. drive on the left, give way to your right on roundabouts, drive at 30mph in residential areas. We gauge our ability to leave a junction safely (amongst other things) on the idea that people abide by the speed limit (and other rules), and it isn't the turning driver's fault the lambo driver was driving dangerously. Those kinds of cars don't skimp on the breaks either - if she wasn't able to stop she wasn't driving appropriately. You can hear how fast the car is moving and listen to when the vehicle starts to slow, i don't even think she reacted quickly enough because the obstacle was well into the road before the change in speed.

If this was Britain (the shop names don't look it but the registration plates kinda do, also driving on the left and black-taxis) then i expect the speedlimit in that sort of area to be at or below 20 which is standard these days.

Mild speeding from the Lambo, but ultimately he had the right of way, no matter what, making it the Mazda's fault.

...oh, and the mere fact the Lambo came off the ground that far probably destroyed it's entire suspension. Might have done internal powertrain and frame damage too.

Yeah it looked like he was going pretty fast.

Hopefully because there was video involved the person pulling out onto the road can catch a break.

I'm a good judge of depth and speed but not a lot of people are. They just assume you're going the same speed as everyone else and based their judgement off that.

Plus they also pulled into the lambo lane too, but there was a car double parked in the other lane!

It's like WHOSE AT FAULT THE LEGAL GAME or something.

Also yes Matte Black is sexy I have my bike all Matte'd (Matted?) out in black.

It also looks (and sounds) like he was going too fast, but it's hard to tell from the video alone.

Either way, an expensive trip!

Pretty car too, really like the matte black
