Un-American

StukaFox says...

Ok, I like the Lincoln Project and I'm no fan of Trump, but this one isn't their best. It's too jump-the-shark, too heavy-handed. They could have delivered a lot more impact by delivering a lot less impact.

Star Trek PICARD - NEW Teaser

The Password - The Office US

Esoog says...

I do watch Brooklyn Nine Nine. You're right, that is a worthy sitcom. Superstore, I admit, I never got into. I'll have to check it. The Good Place I liked the first season, then got a little bored.

Modern Family is great, but I feel like it's jumped the shark the past 2 seasons.

Are you watching Brooklyn Nine Nine, Superstore, or the Good Place? Those are all great mainstream sitcoms, and they were all created by vets of The Office, so they share DNA.

How Star Wars The Last Jedi Should Have Ended

newtboy says...

I thought it should have ended with ewoks dancing in the redwoods (if not one movie earlier)...because the entire series jumped the shark after that to me.
Imo, #4-6 (episode 1-3) were too geared for kids and were visually spectacular but devoid of substance, #7 &8 were all about member berries.

Janice Min: Predators in Power

newtboy says...

I agree.
Even worse, he had on a black guy who meets with, befriends, and changes white supremacists, collecting their KKK robes as he goes, and Bill seemed to not even be listening to him, but just waiting for him to pause so Bill could change the topic...repeatedly. You could see it on his face that he was annoyed, and he must be one of the most patient men alive.

I used to like Bill, even saw him in person(a letdown), but he's getting douchier all the time, and more politically biased too. I think he's jumped the shark.

And the Thirteen Doctor Is...

AeroMechanical says...

I kind of lost interest a few seasons back. There were still good episodes but for whatever reason I just wasn't into it overall anymore. Has it jumped the shark or is it just me?

Vault of Bad Ideas, 1980's edition: The Charmings!

SDGundamX says...

Yeah, the wife liked it. It was okay the first couple of seasons but when Mulan, Anna, and Elsa started showing up they kinda jumped the shark. I will say that Lana Parilla does an amazing job playing the Evil Queen/Mayor, as does Robert Carlyle as Rumpelstiltskin/Mr. Gold.

Artist makes perfect shiny balls of mud (Hikaru Dorodango)

oritteropo says...

It used to be really hard and/or expensive to get these types of shots, so they were used sparingly and only when they really made sense.

Now that they're cheap and easy they're being a bit over-used.

I don't think that it's exactly the drone shots that are starting to jump the shark, but the fad of using them everywhere, all the time, for no reason other than because we can (and good riddance too).

I think drone video is starting to jump the shark. It's not at the ramp yet, but it's up on the skis, sticking out its thumbs, and about to say, "Ayyyyy...".

Verstappen's Kitzbühel F1 Race On Snow Covered Ski Slope

Ashenkase says...

"The pinnacle of motor sport met the pinnacle of winter sports" and jumped the shark on Red Bull's retarded string of perceived amazing stunts.

Next up... A trans turtle space fairing balloonist vs. the world championship BLT sandwich making Badminton player in a duel of wits as they race to the top of Olympus Mans on the red planet. The first competitor to the top must chug a jar of pickled mushroom bell bottoms to claim the prize of most inane competition.

Join us on Sunday with Marv Albert in his lingerie to take in this one of a kind Redbull bullshit competition.

Seriously, this is starting to feel like the strange crap Wide World of Sports put out in the 70's.

Teens react to encyclopedias

GenjiKilpatrick says...

Stay tuned for next week's edition: Elders React to - Cell Phones!

"Well golly-gee willikers. What's this new fangled contraption?

In MY day, we only had two cups and a string"

But seriously, we're not that far removed from the past that a group of teenagers would lack knowledge or comprehension of friggin' Enencyclopedias.

This series jumped the shark years ago with the whole: X Demographic - Reacts!

Human civilization jumped the shark. What's next for anything? What do you actually want to see in things that hasn't ready been seen? (Actually, I really need a good list of these things.)
