Joe Scarborough reacts to Romney clip

kymbos says...

It really is. You keep hearing that the Republicans have moved so far away from the centre that they're unelectable, and it really seems to be true. The American mainstream just doesn't want to go keep drifting that far right, and unless they do something the Republicans are just not coming back. >> ^VoodooV:

it's 2008 all over again. McCain couldn't get people excited so they brought Palin in to stir up the rhetoric (and the mouth-breathing base)
Reps didn't learn a damned thing.

Joe Scarborough reacts to Romney clip

>> ^ulysses1904:

What specifically is Scarborough reacting to? I didn't understand that part of the clip.

I think it was at Romney's attempt at changing the chant from "Ryan" to "Romney/Ryan", which was rather embarrassing.

Joe Scarborough compliments/lies about Obama in same breath

Priceless.
May there be many more awkward squirms before they work out how to spin this against Obama.

I'm betting they will settle on somehow giving all of the credit to President Bush. After all, if he hadn't let Osama get away in Afghanistan, he couldn't have been killed a decade later in Pakistan. A cunning 10 year plan.

Why is he asking us why it isn't the largest story in the country? He works for MSNBC now, why can't he make it the largest story in the country? <shrug>

He's still only a fill-in host, although a regular one now. I have hope though, he's so far been the only one to give a fair interview to Assange in the US mainstream media (does Democracy Now! count yet?).

So far his ratings have been crushing CNN's and even Fox's on certain occasions, he could gain enough of an audience to make that sort of impact.

He's not been too critical of some of MSNBC's reporting yet and lately even gone quiet on Joe Scarborough, but my guess is that's because he's trying to gain more of a foothold...

Keith Olbermann Special Comment: False Objectivity vs. Truth

NetRunner says...

@Tymbrwulf, would you remove editorials and regular columns from newspapers as well?

Also, how would you regulate such a thing? What if FNC responded by saying "O'Reilly is objective"? How do you prove or disprove that?

For that matter, is Megyn Kelly really objective? Major Garrett? The gang at Fox and Friends? Changing networks, how about Joe Scarborough? Chuck Todd? Contessa Brewer? Tamron Hall?

What's the litmus test? How do I find out if I'm objective or not?

teaparty candidates deny seperation of church and state

bmacs27 says...

Man, if Cenk Uyger wholesale signed on with MSNBC, I'd lose what shred of respect I have left for the guy. NPR, fine, at least they show some independent thought, but really... MSNBC? He's gonna join the proud ranks of Joe Scarborough, Chris Matthews, and Keith Olbermann? Weak sauce Cenk, weak sauce.

Whitehouse Calls Scarborough an A*Hole over Nobel Comments

He could easily write executive orders to: stop corporate thievery, end don't ask don't tell, or proceed with war crime prosecution(aka justice). Snl summed it up perfectly.

No one has to like what GenjiKilpatrick is saying here, but is he wrong? Don't be so quick to drink the Kool-Aid, regardless of which political cheerleaders are serving it.

JiggaJonson says...

From NPR:
The Norwegian committee that awards the prize said that Obama had "captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future." Committee Chairman Thorbjoern Jagland acknowledged that the award was more for Obama's aspirations than for his achievements: "It was because we would like to support what he is trying to achieve."

So do us all a favor and stop bitching about it ok ?

In reply to this comment by GenjiKilpatrick:
Barack Obama hasn't done anything. At all.
He could easily write executive orders to: stop corporate thievery, end don't ask don't tell, or proceed with war crime prosecution(aka justice). Snl summed it up perfectly.

He's a do-nothing president and hasn't earned our trust or respect, much less a supposedly highly honorable award.
