As for Knopfler, his virtuosity and musicianship are impeccable. Some of his best is, imho, the country music he's recorded... check out the "Notting Hillbillies", his album with Chet Atkins is superb, and his more recent projects with Emmylou Harris are stunning.

Don't mind my poking, lesserfool, it was slightly tongue in cheek. However I find it more and more so that urban folks are NOT in fact more educated than smaller town folk (with the exception of true hillbillies). They are simply educated in different areas, and people in both places are poorly educated in certain areas. Yuppy elitism is a huge annoyance to me. I've met too many yuppies who only believe what the nuts at Union Square tell them on T-Shirts and Posters. My town is small and rural, but LOADED with huge minds.

Anyway, even if Obama did have some Muslim history, he left it behind so who cares. His church might be a disgrace, but he essentially disowned it recently so who cares. He has at no time implied the things that Wright preached were true. He never said the US made HIV and he obviously isn't a racist. If people want to encourage people not to vote for him, there is enough fodder in the issues themselves to work with. They don't need to dig around in the mud.

That looks more like Zombie Hillbilly Techno. While I have enjoyed this novelty song, this adds a whole slew of disturbing imagery.

My biggest gripe over food network is they always seem to have their THE BEST BBQ IN THE WORLD show on when I'm lounging in bed. So I'm subjected to the torture of watching all this awesome tasty looking BBQ'd meat whilst I grow ever hungry, yet the rest of my body is too lethargic to actually get out of bed and feed myself. And when I finally do get up, it is not awesome BBQ I get to have, but a bowl of frosty wheats. Further more despite living in a state that prides itself on its BBQ, the hillbillies in my area seem to think good BBQ means a cut of meat that's 70% fat, and despite that still manage to dry out what little actual meat is in the cut.
