General Mark Milley hits back at uproar over critical race..

luxintenebris says...

read your comments, watched the video.

video brought back a memory of a time when someone brought in their computer. apparently, this person had visited some German band's website, the band then hacked into the person's machine, and now the German musicians were spying on them. with further questioning, the band had somehow also managed to place hidden cameras inside that person's home.

I was dubious.

get the same vibe from all the data you've provided.

the difference was they asked for help, and we helped them get help. wish that for you, too.

if not, then enjoy this...

My fear is, that after this video went viral, if not before, she may have been fired for her actions.

I agree with others, that too many prank videos these days are more bullying than the Hidden Camera days of pranks and jokes... and I'm not saying the art form can't evolve, but there's a pretty clear line between prank and bully and way too many of these prank channels bully far more than they prank.

i wish i was her manager so i could give her a goddamn raise, promotion, and letter of recommendation to corporate demanding they pay her tuition, provide a grant, a scholarship, whatever else corporate toolbags get that she don't got -- i dunno free executive level dental and health care? until that happened, i would sacrifice 100 oxen in hecatomb to her every night. it's really the least i could do with my father's oxen empire, if i was a fast food manager and heir to an oxen empire.

Santa Ana Cops Behaving Badly

HugeJerk says...

They had a business permit, just not the new one that Santa Ana came up with for Pot Dispensaries. These shops have been operating in legal grey areas in Orange County, awhile back Santa Ana decided that they'd directly permit for it... but did it in a really screwed up way. A lottery.

Anybody who wanted to operate a dispensary had to pay $1690, a non-refundable amount, to enter a lottery for the privilege to buy a permit. Santa Ana collected more than a million dollars in the lottery fees. There have been enough accusations of shady behavior with the lottery process that a Judge recently issued an order to stop the program from going forward until it can be investigated.

The business in the video has been around since well before the Lottery. They got word that the city was going to use the Police to raid them instead of doing any of the normal things when shutting down a business, which is why they setup the hidden cameras.

Someone stole naked pictures of me. This is what I did about

SDGundamX says...

No, but they should accept in this day and age that a ton of douches might snap secret pics of them (potenially upskirt shots when the girls are going up an escalator or something), fap to said pics, then upload the pics for others to potentially fap to. Not saying that's right, but it's a possibility that anyone wearing a mini-skirt would be foolish to ignore.

It's a digital world now. As @Jerykk was pointing out, the best way to avoid naked pics of yourself showing up on the Net is not to take naked pics of yourself (and even then some scumbag might install a hidden camera in a changing room or shower and you wind up on there anyway). From jilted ex-lovers to NSA hoovering data to security breaches/password leaks that seem to be making headlines every day, the odds of a naked pic of yourself being made public against your will (whether you're male or female) are exponentially higher these days. I think anyone who takes naked pics of themselves and doesn't expect them to show up online at some point (could be decades from now) is being a bit naive, especially if they are digital pics,

Yeah, like all those women wearing short skirts, amirite? I mean, they basically have to accept that they might get raped. It's just a matter of common sense.

Speaking Out On Street Harassment

bimbojimbo says...

The woman in the "experiment" is a total hypocrite. In fact, that little undercover experiment shot the credibility of everyone else's story, and the video in general.

She dressed in a way clearly meant to elicit reaction. heck she even said it was "provocative" hello, the word provocative literally means "voice call out forward" ... pro + vocare (latin for call, voice) Imagine a guy walking around with 100 bills taped all over his body, he'd be an idiot if he expected no one would look at him. If he was robbed, women would ask him .."huh why did you tape $100 bills all over you?"

The little BS hidden camera thing is clearly put on someone who's looking to find people to yell things out, for the purpose of "proving a point" and making a problem appear more serious than it is. If it happens to every day women constantly - then why not choose a woman that's dressed more "normally" ?

Obviously some of the more physical assault-like things are inexcusable, but anything else, verbal or otherwise, is just men doing what society (including women) have taught them to do: be aggressive, be bold.. why is it that...

good looking guy that calls out = man that is bold and goes after what he wants
ugly guy that calls out = creep that harasses.

And women go around wondering why "men don't understand and it's so hard to teach them..?" maybe try being a little honest and consistent for starters?

The Daily Show: Glass Half Empty

newtboy says...

That's not a glass it's a plastic cup, and it's full...1/2 full of liquid, 1/2 full of gasses.

Google glass wearers are self centered assholes IMO. Consider how you would feel about people who constantly wear a wire and hidden camera for the cops, now realize that the cops/feds have access to anything recorded by google glasses. Now how do you feel about google glass wearers? Would you allow one in your home?
I think google glasses should have a bright red light on the outside that indicates any level of recording or picture taking. On private property, it's illegal to record people without their consent in most states. I'm 100% behind excluding these devices on any private property without written consent of the owners AND clearly posted written notice to all visitors that they are being recorded, and making it a criminal offence to record audio or video on private property without a waiver. Write your representatives and tell them so if you agree.

Waitress Receives Life-Changing Tip

lucky760 says...

I think they just wanted a play on "pay it forward," and that was the closest they could get that also implied the element of hidden camera surprise.

Every time there's a hidden camera thing focused around a server who's supposed to be such a wonderful, kind person, I always secretly hope they'll be caught on tape being a total asshole.
