No way, I have no problem being a fan of a band. I'm not really a fan of any contemporary rock bands, that I can think of, but I've been a huge fan of bands in the past, most notably Queensryche, but also Zeppelin, and Hendrix, although they were before my time.

I just meant that I wasn't a fan of those bands in particular. I enjoy a few tracks by Bloc Party and Coldplay, but I couldn't name a member of either band, don't know their albums, etc etc.

I am a HUGE fan of Simon Posford, aka Hallucinogen aka one half of Shpongle. I am a big fan of Shift, a trance producer from South Africa. I'm a HUGE fan of Robert Rich, and I wish that there were better robert rich videos to sift. No, I'm definitely a fanboi, just not for Bloc Party or Coldplay.

why are you against being a fan of bands? you said like the exact same disclaimer before that bloc party video. is because you're a dj? and dj's can't get attached to bands?

you develop a relationship with anything you sense u brain records everything and then you conchouse sifts through things for you to be aware of ( like a mental video sift only u past exsperances dictate what gets voted up ) . If you are a person of scince then you will get insight into your knowlage of scince if you believe in religoin then u will probably think you r having a religouse exsperance. you talk about losing mind control one of the resoins salivea is so safe in comparison to anny other hallucinogen is that you have so much control over your thoughts and can direct your trip. i think you took way to much and totally triped out this is what u see allot of people doing on these videos. its no more insightful ore clever than drinking a bottle of vodcah . for annyone planning on doing it its important to note that it affects everyone different some people are super sencative to it and others wont be affected at all. additionally the more often you take it the less you need to achieve the same affects.

I'm not seeing his point here. All those other plants aren't regulated because they aren't hallucinogens. It may be impossible to OD on marijuana (so I've heard), but that does not mean it's not dangerous.

The toad thing is playing off the fact that there are a few toad species that secrete a hallucinogenic enzyme. Many tribal cultures are known to have used the enzymes to induce "vision quests."

The brain voice sounds like the same guy who did Grimlock in the original TF. Listen to the way he says "Me!"

As some of the other youtube commenters pointed out, that's ayahuasca. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayahuasca
The people are south american, not north-american southwest peoples. The snakes are constricters (i.e. jungle instead of desert rattlers), and all the other plants/animals are pretty much tropiucal/rainforest critters. Ayahuasca is D.M.T. in an orally active format, as it contains a MAO inhibitor which allows it to be ingested orally without being rapidly metabolized. in non ayahuasca forms, DMT is often smoked. It is a very powerful hallucinogen.

Essentially, dude got himself Shpongled.

The weed used here is home grown sensi: Designer buds have a better finnish than the equatorial varieties...Also, when the butter is done like this, with the amount of canninbis they used, a litle, goes a long way....the high from eating is more hallucinogenic, the plateau is hash-like high which lasts a loooooooong time.
If you grow it, it is cost effective, if you have to buy it, yer screwed unless wealthy.
Baking in pastries is not the way to mask the flavour....do that with sauces or with onions and garlic in a soup or caserole......omlet?

I only have about 500 records, but haven't really been collecting for a few years now. My friend Jesse Dangerously, on the other hand, has over 2000. When we were roommates, we bought a HUGE record shelf from IKEA. I took up two of the twenty units. Jesse has it completely FULL now, although probably a full third of those records are bargain basement classics that he bought for sample digging.

My record collection is probably 1/3rd classic goa trance (astral projection, hallucinogen, infected mushroom, etnica, total eclipse, etc), 1/3rd banging techno, and the rest is a mishmash of ambient, triphop and classics... I've got a few rare gems- a test pressing of the mortal kombat theme music, for example- and some portishead singles, but most of my rare records are really niche psytrance finds.

Upvote for the Ken Nordine, although I must say the powerpoint animation leaves something to be desired. The audio is from an album he released of radio ads that he made for a paint company back in the 50s. It's one of the most unique albums in my collection.

Shpongle - Divine Moments of Truth

Farhad2000 says...

This is just all kinds of awesome.

Shpongle (IPA: ˈʃpɒŋ.gl̩) is considered to be one of the most important and influential psychedelic downtempo or Psybient music projects of recent years. The members are Simon Posford (aka Hallucinogen) and Raja Ram (one third of The Infinity Project). Their sound is a mix mainly consisting of sampled eastern ethnic instruments and western contemporary synthesizer-based psychedelic music. Posford is responsible for the synth and studio work while Raja Ram contributes with flute arrangements. They are both responsible for the visionary input. According to one interview, they commonly visualize the music together before they create it, and during the creation process.

Dimethyltryptamine (DMT), also known as N,N-dimethyltryptamine, is a powerful psychoactive substance. If DMT is smoked, injected, or orally ingested with an MAOI, it can produce powerful entheogenic experiences including true hallucinations (perceived extensions of reality). This is the come down...

What I meant was - I am not surprised to hear that you liked Rez since it deals with the idea of "synesthesia," the association of different senses and stimuli with each other, which is a sensation experienced naturally by some people, and reported by many users of LSD and other hallucinogens. And of course because of the face that in Rez, one's character soars over psychedelic, abstract, futuristic vistas to the hypnotic beats of electronic music.
