He's down by almost double digits in the popular vote. It's more likely she gets over 400 electoral votes than him winning the election.

I don't sit on the fence. I just recognize like a sane adult that no political ideology has practical solutions that will fix every problem society faces. My grandma had it and a few of my friends. They all had different signs of it at the start. Some trembled very soon, some had symptoms like a completely other disease and some didnt show much of it until it massively broke out all at once.
All I learned from that is that you cant say if people have Parkinsons or not over the Internet, unless its very obvious. It can start slow, just like most other diseases, and can have symptoms that arent that obviously linked to it. It actually took a year or so until the doctors of my Grandma identified it as Parkinsons and she didnt have trembles until much much later (about 5 or 6 years).

I sent this to my grandma who grew up around snake infested sand and will never forgive me.

Hawaiian and Polynesian culture went through many changes and forms long before anyone from the West showed up on their shores. The luau itself is partly symbolic of women's rights (as well as lower class rights) in Hawaiian culture, as before the luau, women were not allowed to eat the same food as men, and commoners could not eat with royalty or eat their royal Hawaiian food.

This change didn't happen until the 1800s, so it's likely that this level of equality within the Hawaiian culture is due in part to European contact, including the the King who himself became a Christian -- and yet also encouraged the luna dance.

When cultures make contact with each other, they become entangled. They influenced us and we influenced them -- and they're Americans now so deal with it.
