And now we have multiple top administration officials and lawyers like Meadows, Scovino, and Ellis admitting under oath that in December Trump was saying he didn’t care that he lost, and didn’t care what the courts said, he was not going to leave the White House under any circumstances, he was just going to stay in power….as if we didn’t already know.
Because I’m sure you don’t understand, that is criminal intent, direct evidence of election fraud and multiple attempted coups, and 100% undermines any attempt to pretend he thought he won or was doing what he believed was right for him to do as president….in fact now only he can make that claim himself by testifying under oath in open court…and please oh please let his lawyers be that stupid. Er mer gerd, please be that stupid.

Enjoy being firmly on the traitors team. Don’t be surprised to wake up to find a big “T” branded on your forehead some day, Americans don’t like traitors.

Bonus-Lol…today fraud and coward Senator Mullin “accepted” the challenge to physically fight a union leader in the senate chambers knowing that the capitol police were there to protect him and not allow a fight, once again displaying MAGA’s complete lack of respect for America and your total cowardice.
If he wanted to actually accept the challenge, he would have done so either in a place where a fight could happen, or publicly and arrange a sanctioned ring fight, but he instead hid behind his security and only when safe pretended to accept.
If he actually wanted to fight then and there Bernie Sanders would not have immediately stopped him using just words.
Even better, after the union leader accepted the challenge then and there and the senator sat back down at Sanders’s order, he tried to pretend the union leader had gone silent and hid from the fight, a pure fabrication of events that just happened in public view and that we have recorded.
He never intended, nor does he intend to accept the invitation to a fist fight, this was pure false bravado staged for a photo op in congress…that tank of a union leader would have flattened him out thin enough for even you to see through him. 😂
If he’s really a tough guy, let him accept a sanctioned cage match like the guy suggested. MAGgot coward wouldn’t show up because he’s a kindergarten child, not a man.
such infants you crybabies are.

Second bonus- Speaker Johnson is already on the ropes, incapable of putting together a budget plan even his party will vote for (definitely not one that will pass the senate), is angering the same extremist MAGgots that tossed McCarthy and got him the position, and has SERIOUS financial disclosure issues like hiding his wife’s income and assets for his entire 7 year tenure, and pretending that he’s a man of minor means, so poor on only $205k (+ his wife’s income, and her unreported undisclosed LLC’s income, and the millions in freebies he doesn’t report) a year that he doesn’t have any bank accounts, and failed to disclose multiple gifts from multiple sources of at least $20k despite being required to report anything valued over $400. He’s not going to survive the year in office.
Meanwhile Greene and Gaetz are holding sham meetings of (in their own words) “shadow congress” to spout covid and vaccine misinformation, conspiracy theories, and outright lies on taxpayer dollars instead of doing the work of congress.
His criminal failures mean another Republican shutdown just in time to ruin Thanksgiving and Xmas, expected to be the busiest travel season ever while not paying tsa or traffic controllers will be an unmitigated disaster…you think people won’t remember who did that again?

Third bonus- Kevin McCarthy is now accused of battery of another Republican congressman while he was being interviewed in the Senate hallway, confirmed by the reporter. When Burchett chased him down he hid behind security and denied it, then ran away like a MAGA coward.
Gaetz has filed a formal ethics complaint.
MAGA and the Republican Party are falling apart at the seams, so flustered at constantly losing and looking moronic and anti patriotic that they are physically fighting each other and civilians in congress…and it’s delicious. 😂 Kindergartners have better self control, and it’s on full display constantly.

Enjoy political oblivion. White racist bigots are many and loud, but there’s not enough of you to elect anyone, and everyone else in your party has left.

What did Reagan think about the right to vote?

newtboy says...

Most republicans CLAIM they believe multiple ineligible voters voted and had their votes counted despite ALL evidence to the contrary and not a single case of non citizen Democratic voting nor a single case of Democrats voting twice, but many from Republicans including one guy who murdered his wife to use her vote to vote for Trump and a judge who cast his dead wife's ballot, then there's the multiple Republican candidates who collected ballots from the elderly and filled them out, casting votes for themselves by the thousands, and the fake ballot boxes set up by Republicans that continued after secretaries of state demanded be removed because they are specifically prohibited by law (and that allowed Republicans to sift through votes and discard Democratic ballots). Republicans do not care about securing non Republican votes anymore, Trump removed the last vestige of that patriotic civic feature from your group. Today's Republicans want to discard over half the legal votes for no reason besides they aren't for their candidate, liar.

Remember when Trump admitted that if every citizen voted, no Republican would ever be elected again? That's an admission they can only win by cheating straight from the cheater in chief's mouth....an admission that legal voters don't vote Republican, only by denying millions their constitutional rights AND cheating AND gerrymandering can Republicans win at all....Trump said it.

Let's have 5 cases of actual, prosecuted Democratic vote fraud cases from the last three elections, I can show you hundreds of times more than that from Republicans....thousands more. Liar. I know for certain you couldn't come up with two if I gave you one as a freebie.

There are no Democratic fucker laws, but hundreds of Republican fucker laws that discourage and block legal votes from poor and black areas and people, you claim it's to secure the vote against frauds while you have zero evidence any ever existed in the populations these laws target, blocking and denying millions of votes to fight a crime that doesn't exist except in Republican circles and Republican delusions. You believe they're all Democrat votes, so you don't care if they're legal voters being disenfranchised, liar.

Denying a legal vote has exactly the same effect as allowing an illegal one....which party wants to deny legal votes, Bob? Hint, it's the same party caught thousands of times recently casting illegal and/or tampered with votes AND discarding thousands of votes for Democrats. Liar.

Provide ID for free in the communities you insist must have them, not only available at the DMV 25+ miles away with no bus service going there, then and only then would it be even partially proper to enact laws to require them, or require a free voter ID that every citizen has the same access to and the same difficulties getting, so no online application, no phone application, stand in line at a DMV at least one county removed from your address. Republicans blocked a national voter ID, because it's not about ID, it's about denying legal voters in Democratic populations.

All illegal votes were Republican illegal vote frauds for Trump, every single one found. If illegal voting was a real concern, voting laws would target Republicans, not Democrats. They absolutely don't, and recordings of Republican leaders prove it was never about illegal votes and always about suppressing Democrat voters. Liar.

The true question is how are Republicans getting away with election interference at a massive scale, rigging elections nation wide while dishonestly claiming they're "securing the vote" but really they're securing it in Republican gerrymandered districts for Republicans, not ensuring every legal vote counts but instead denying any vote they question....which are only Democratic votes despite the long history of Republican frauds, rigging the system so they're "winning" elections with 10% fewer votes than their opponents, and threatening murders and civil war when y'all lose. Crybaby liar.

Republicans absolutely don't want an honest vote system in place because republicans cannot win honest, fair elections. Democrats tried dozens of times to pass laws securing elections, creating physical records of every vote, securing machines against tampering, even creating a (free) national voter ID, etc...Republicans obstructed every one without considering them at all because not allowing democrats a victory is far more important to y'all than securing elections or making them fair or honest.

bobknight33 said:

Most Republicans do care.

That's why they are blocking the Democrat fuckery voting laws.

Only Legal voters get to vote.
Have valid ID.

Both sides cheat.

The true question is Why don't Americans want a honest vote system in place?

What Happens To The Few Good Cops

newtboy says...

Yes, that's one of my problems with police, lax recruitment. They should do a better job screening applicants, far too many bullies make it through the process. The image they present only attracts the wrong kind of people, and even screens out better applicants (allegedly for anyone over 110 IQ for instance). The right kind of person wouldn't be accepted in the current cop culture (as this story illustrates clearly), and the right kind of people also wouldn't want to associate with them.

I think some officers do make that much on salary, but quite true it's not many. When you count the benefits they get though, they are not under paid in most cases. Most get free medical, life insurance, retirement, many other 'freebies', and incredible overtime, so looking at only base salary is not an honest assessment.
Where I live, $200000 is probably more than 5 times the average pay rate...in some areas it may be the average pay rate. In high cost of living areas, I agree, it would be right to pay them better, (but conversely, that means those in Detroit should be paid less for a more dangerous job...how to reconcile that?) but we should DEMAND better performance everywhere, with zero tolerance for abuse.

EDIT: It seems we could retrain ex-military for the job. They've proven they are willing to take MORE dangerous jobs for far less money ($20-30K last I heard). That's a possible win win, vets get a good job program, we get an improving police force...as long as the retraining and testing is thorough.

Then your problem is police recruitment.. pay cops $200k a year and you'll have an army of Jedi Knights. But we don't..

Oakland CA Is So Scary Even Cops Want Nothing To Do With It

Trancecoach says...

> "I don't think most libertarians agree with you that libertarian government is anarchy."

Yeah, many who use the label seem rather confused.. So sure, many libertarians are not libertarian anarchists.

> "So, there is no utopian free market, just the real, regulated one you're complaining about."

This is what the crony-capitalists, the pluto-klepto alliance thinks -- and it's one of the reasons why they don't bother doing away with it but rather just continue to exploit it. Which is also an option available to some.

> "Better safeguards could make better politicians (yes, that's regulation, of politicians)."

Haha, go ahead, 'regulate' them. I'm not stopping you. "Regulate" the politicians all you want. See how it goes for ya!

> "I do, I vote, and I pay my taxes. I don't have these problems, or over-regulation problems where I live."

Then maybe you are happy with your situation.

> "I might hope you DO need the police to help you (with something minor, but enough to create your 'need'), then you might realize they are not all your enemy or useless and not far worse than anarchy."

I've had a number of experiences with the police, that were supposedly for "my benefit" but were in reality much worse than anarchy, and were, in fact downright detrimental to me.. Like for example, getting hit by a car during an irresponsible and unnecessary police chase in which I had no involvement until I got hit.

> "It's sad to think that it would take a personal need for you to realize that, but apparently it would."

Since you seem to be cursing me to have a "need" for police, I doubt you really feel "sad" about it.

> "because private ownership does NOT mean better management."

If I was a gambling man, I'd bet that you're not a landlord.

> "I don't pay much in taxes, only my fair share."

Of course. It's usually folks like you who pay little to nothing who want everyone else to pay for your "services."

> "Send me the URL to a company that gives actual security for $35 a month that isn't simply a guy you call on the phone who then calls the police."

Sorry, no freebie for you. You'll have to do with the "services" you get from other people's taxes.

> "I don't see a difference between paying taxes for services and paying 'homeowner fees' for services, except homeowner fees are usually far more expensive for fewer services and more regulation."

Homeowner fees are voluntary. You can choose not to live there and you don't get thrown in jail for not paying them.

But you did have to mention the roads, didn't you? There's an epidemic of "road zombies!" I tend to take Satochi Nakamoto's point of view when it comes to this kind of nonsense. Like "John Galt," Nakamoto thinks that socialists dislike Rand so much because Galt actually scares them.

But then again, somehow I've given you the impression that I actually care about that you think or not. But "all in all you're just another brick in the wall." (Kinda crazy, arguing with bricks. As a psychologist, I'm rather selective about these things.)

Suffice it to say that, for folks like you who "like" the Leviathan or think you're going to somehow control it, I have little if anything to contribute.

Never said the rich 'have it bad'. All I'm saying is that it is a load of pure biased bullcrap to say "the rich" aren't paying "their fair share". This guy in the vid, a lot of you here on the Sift, and every neolib who exists make this constant drumbeat about the rich not paying their fair share. It is absolute hogwash. The top 1% ($380K & up) pay 40% of the taxes while the bottom 50% (below the median) pay a measley 2.9%.

If anything, the so-called 'poor' need to pay MORE taxes so they have a little skin in the game as opposed to constantly voting for more and more federal freebies. What needs to happen here (the one thing this guy got right) is tax reform. Income taxes need to be eliminated, and the system moved to a Flat tax or a Use tax with no more corporate, government, or any other kind of loophole. Then after that the government needs to cut spending by like 70% and never be allowed to change tax laws ever again.

This is the exact problem with thinking today, we don't allow kids to grow up. We have mothers calling in to their child's employer because he dared to give a negative review. We have employees that feel they are entitled to the same pay rate as their manager because they work 40 hours a week. Loving parents protecting their child?! Your child is 27! He/she isn't a child they're an adult! If they have a handicap that prevents them from being able to work and provide for themselves then they should be able to retain coverage. Outside of that the best and only reason I could see paying $3600 a year per enrolled "Adult/Child" would be if the current uninsured medical expenses for 19-27 year olds drastically outweighed the costs for the new program. But I haven't seen any statistics relating to that. Yes 30% of 19-27 year old adults do not have insurance. But how much is that fact costing us each year and how much would it cost us each year if we insured each and every one of them?
The $3600 is a government estimate for 2013, and since the government does their estimating with chickens pecking at player pianos I sincerely doubt the costs will be in line.
If the premiums are being paid anyway why don't the parents just pay for their kids insurance?
I fully expect that if Obamacare goes into effect that I will lose my employer provided insurance. If by some act of God I do not lose my coverage then I fully expect that my rates will drastically increase and my family coverage plan will become even more expensive as people load on their precious 22 year old "kids" to the program. So this means that my family will pay even more for my daughters insurance because someone else can't put a foot of common sense up their kids ass.
>> ^bareboards2:
You do understand that insurance premiums are being paid, don't you?
This isn't a freebie giveaway. It is allowing loving parents to protect their children.
What the hell is wrong with you?

>> ^My_design:
Maybe since you can now cover a child under healthcare until 27 we should change the legal drinking age to 27 as well. How about claiming them as an exemption on taxes until 27 and being considered underage inregards to sexual relationships until 27 as well.

You think allowing family members to be covered by your health insurance is coddling?? Are you also expecting families to kick their college graduates out of the house upon graduation? How about giving them a few years to find a good job with benefits before you disown them? Seems a bit more humane. Those jobs aren't as easy to find as they used to be.

You also said you expect to lose your coverage due to "Obamacare". Really? I'd love to hear how you figure that will happen.

An Irishman abroad tells it like it is

lampishthing says...

Ireland has had a very different post WWII history to America. A lot of what you just said is irrelevant to us. Eg we didn't have a baby boom - you can be guaranteed this guy had a hard time in the 60s, 70s, 80s. The spoiled generation was born in the late 80s and 90s. Ireland's retirement age to my knowledge has never dropped below 65. That aside, our pensions are paid for directly through taxes anyway.

More generally, our "leftist philosophy" (and it's a big stretch to call it that) is not responsible for the crash. The banks guarantee scheme is where the vast majority of our debt is coming from. It was not debt racked up by the people or the government but by banks. The guarantee doomed the country. Fucking Anglo Irish Bank.>> ^Winstonfield_Pennypacker:

Well - as with many Sift vids this brings up a complicated issue and only chooses to tell a part of the story.
Companies, banks, insurers, financial institutions, and many businesses have indeed behaved with what can only be described as evil indifference. They have gamed systems around the world to create favorable business environments for themselves, and when the market collapsed they pushed slimy political patronage in order to get bailouts to save them from their stupidity. These businesses should have been allowed to fail and damn the consequences.
But the video ignores the other dancers on the floor - government and the citizens.
Western governments have been 'engineering' this problem for decades because of leftist poltiical philosophy being funded with crony 'capitalism'. They have been buying votes with social giveaways, and partnering with business to use skullduggery and questionable legislation (and some outright unconstitutional stuff) to engage in 'social justice', 'political fairness'. But progressive/liberal philosophies always run governments into unsustainability because the model cannot sustain itself. Greece, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Germany and the rest aren't in financial trouble just because banks behaved like idiots. They are on the brink of collapse because they promised trillions in social benefits that they NEVER had the ability to supply. They knew this long ago, but made a devil's bargain with the sleazy businesses to shadow-fund the shell game. But inevitably, unsustainable models break, and now everything is crumbling around them, which forces them to make cuts (austerity measures) or face total collapse.
Which finally brings us to player #3. The people. No offense to specific individuals, but as a collective the citizens of Western civilization have behaved (with exceptions of course) like a bunch of spoiled brats. This angry Irishman is probably a spoiled brat too, since he looks to be a part of the Boomer generation which is one of the most spoiled rotton generations this world has ever seen and he's totally whining about not getting to keep his precious benefits. Despite potential financial collapse, these stupid people still till want to retire at age 50, get 1 month a year free vacation, free college, full retirement benefits, and every other unaffordable perk, benefit, freebie, and giveaway they can glom their sticky, greedy mitts on. Not to mention that they VOTED these bozos into office based on promises to get all this stuff, which is why the governments screwed up so badly to start with.
Bad banks? Sure. But government and the people get no free pass with me.
