The Presidents of the United States of America - Peaches

Where do you go for videos these days? (besides here) (Sift Talk Post)

Fedquip says...

Damn..im old, I remember the days when you really had to hunt, I used to be an avid Farker as well, hell remember ebaums world?

I do go back to fark and have checked out their video section.

I used to (and still kinda do) follow the blogs - Onegoodmove.org, Crooksandliars, mediamatters - Those websites were great in the early 00's when video blogging was still young, those guys really let picked out the gems from Television.

I have collected so many youtube subscriptions over the years I dont have to go far to find a good clip or two. I also have a few links that follow documentaries, Heres one that I just recently bumped into. I have more lists then I do hours in the day.

Otherwise I use Stumble Video as well...not as often as I would like.
When I have time I like to check out newer places, as Dag Mentioned Funny or Die is a great place from what I can see and Redlasso is still in Beta so it might be usefull for the sift yet.

Phoo Action! Trailer.

Looks like a Geek's wet dream- comics, kung-fu, super-powered bad guys, cool cars (saw a Lancia Stratos and Meyers Manx), and a hot anarchist co-ed crimefighter. Based on a comic from the 90's by Tank Girl co-creator Jamie Hewlett called "Get the Freebies". Also appears to feature Action Jackson himself, Mr. Carl Weathers!

Richard Dawkins on the God Delusion

>> ^FishBulb:
I am an atheist but I have trouble with the argument that a universe with a god would be an entirely different kind of universe than one with a god. What are you comparing it too? Creationists believe in literal design but isn't it possible that a god could create the rules and then simply let things run?

In the book he distinguishes between deists (what you are describing) and theists in that theists believe God is actively involved with life on earth (prayer answering, miracles, etc). The point he makes about the differing universes is that religious people want to use God as an explanation for all the complexity around us without acknowledging how complex God Himself would have to be and how He got that way. Religions get that as a "freebie" where the sciences explain things through evolution and natural processes.

Hey, you're welcome. I have been a lurker on this site for a long time. I wanted to contribute. However, I'm not really interested in using the "freebies" that comes with a $10 donation -- surely you know someone on this site who would enjoy them? Is it possible for me to pass them on? If not, okey doke.

It's Not Halloween Until Somebody Cries

I remember when I was a kid the streets used to be like times square on new years. Kids everywhere in the best costumes. Everyone got totally in it. Houses like this littered the streets.

Tonight I had about a dozen groups. Of those, maybe 2 were fully dressed children. The rest were kids fishing for freebies. Im sorry, but if you cant put the effort to get dressed up, I cant give the effort to spend my hard earned money on candy to give to your lazy butt.

Suggestion for 3.0 (Sift Talk Post)

Karaidl like, too!!

I see this one recommended in PCWorld all the time (Do I cite them too much?). Meebo integrates all sorts of chat programs into one, so if you have an AIM account you can chat with people on Yahoo or Google.

Here's a few articles on the new Meebo Rooms for websites.

A nice little review and another where Meebo was named the top IM client.

And it made it into their 2007 101 Fantastic Freebies. Ok, that's enough articles, methinks.
