I had the exact same response - Since when would a Sith leave the assassination of another Sith/Jedi to a couple stormtroopers! I think Vader needs to turn up his oxigen levels in his helmet!

Time to hire some actual writers to assist those game developers...

Main evil guy: Our dealings are done, guy who thought he could trust me!
Protagonist gives a menacing scowl.
Main evil guy: Kill him, inadequate minions.
Main evil guy leaves room, of course assuming his inadequate minions will be able to handle such a task.
Really?!? THAT is the intro they're going with? For Darth Vader? Did I switch planets while I was sleeping last night? When did Vader become a second rate Bond villain?

This was comment was taken from the video that I sent to discussion over at here: http://videosift.com/video/Star-Wars-The-Force-Unleashed-Betrayal-Cinematic-Trailer

The comments below appear to hold true for this version of the video as well.

That's the second time that Game Trailers has asked me to authenticate.

A username and password are being requested by http://cms.gametrailers.com. The site says: "cms.gametrailers.com".

This was the first video to do this to me today. Internetz are saying this bug is 11 months old. I smell bullshit. Gonna black list game trailers.

http://forums.gametrailers.com/thread/game-trailers-authentication/860040
http://forums.gametrailers.com/thread/unusual-log-in-request/1081383?page=1

It's a continues bug that the forums show time stamped in 2009 as well as 2010 Jun 14. I'm just a bit paranoid, that a bug that has been "fixed" keeps coming back.

The link below, is obfuscated it goes to the screen-shot of the pop-up box that I was shown.

So I did some playin around with Fiddler2, routing my localhost traffic through a debugging proxy, and found that clicking on the video sends a GET /moses/ HTTP/1.1, which is something sitting behind the cms.gametrailers.com FQDN; which is why it asks for authentication. It doesn't look malicious, just suspiciously like a Phishing attack.

Dumb it down for console gamers? There is no console version -- Blizzard hasn't made a console game in over a decade. Or did you mean that they're dumbing it down down for people used to playing consoles? Because I don't think that's the case either -- Blizzard has always been about taking existing gameplay and refining it and simplifying it down to its absolute essence of awesomeness.

I am so "extremely and violently" sick of this shit that I refuse to buy Diablo III when it comes out for the teeny-tiny reason that they made health potions an instant power-up when you walk over them instead of a carry-able item (yeah, I got "issues"), and THEN tried to explain it away as making gameplay more seamless for PC gamers. Read: "we had to make fewer things that console players needed a button for". That's right, they took one of the simplest PC games with one of the simplest control schemes ever and they STILL had to dumb it down for console gamers. Fuuuuuck you, Blizzard!

More third-person, over-the-shoulder, consolized crap. I tried playing Metro 2033 recently. OMFG... terrible. Sixty seconds of fighting, and then ten minutes of cutscenes and searching for ammo around your "base". Repeat ad nauseum. Loved the old Star Wars PC games Ant referred to, but it seems nowadays PC ports are an afterthought, designed and dumbed-down for consoles and their idiotic controllers. Decent PC games (FPS) are few and far between. Oh well, guess I'll just go fire up Deus Ex, again.

i extremely and violently disagree with you regarding metro2033.
while that game might not have the most refined and advanced gameplay, if you haven't played this game to the end, you are missing out on one of the most atmospheric games ever!
and fuck console versions! this game was created on and for PCs! furthermore, to fully enjoy the game you gotta play it w/ Russian voices(obviously if you can understand it).
it is a completely different game from duesex. comparing those 2 will be doing a disservice to both!

No PC/Windows port, but then the last game wasn't great on it.
on the final logo screen it shows "games for windows live" so there is pc version coming.

Very cool, but the video is being cut off on the right and lower sides of the screen. I watched the HD version on GameTrailers to see the whole screen. The problem must have something to do with the screen resizing process when you embedded. Unfortunately I can't find another embed source, because apparently this a GameTrailers exclusive. Sorry.
Still worth an upvote.

If you refresh the page and press play again, that problem stops.
