So this float showed up at the Popcorn festival/ parade
The "someone" who thought this was a good idea is the Valparaiso GOP.
Asked for comment on the backlash, the chairman said "I think we hit it spot on", "they all liked it".
Talk about tone deaf. You hit the towers spot on, eh? That's definitely what your float is about.
This seems a lot more like celebrating the attack than remembering the victims.

This is an Euler's Disk
I would be interested to see what would happen just before the disk stopped and suddenly there was no gravity. Even though it sounds like it's spinning faster I'm sure it's just because the edge of the disk is just closer to the mirror.
Suddenly without gravity would the energy cause the disk to rotate making it look like a ball floating in space or would it wobble and take off in one direction?
Could this even be done in space?
Are there any mathematicians in the audience tonight?
Are four questions in a row too much?
Jyoti Ram
Balancing those sticks up at an angle blows my mind along with the floating crystal ball.
Cop Rock - Baby Merchant
After seeing this floating around recently I decided to watch the series through with a mate. It's absolutely, wonderfully awful.
It's tone is absolutely all over the place where it's actually surprisingly hard hitting and progressive in the themes in some places and then suddently absolute nonsense musical in others. I highly recommend if you enjoy terrible things.
WaterCar Panther
50% of the time it floats every time.
Zipper Boat
I know there's a joke floating around here somewhere.
Alaskagate IS REAL! Or is it?
Damn right, don't forget to vote, but don't forget to engage your brain first.
*quality *promote
@bobknight33, I'm looking at you, bud. If he had said Pelosi was involved, you would be insisting it's true after his reveal, the Russians are going to float Alaska over to Russia, and calling anyone who tried to tell you states don't float an ignorant libtard too dumb to see that Democrats are sending entire states overseas.
Baileys Irish Cream vs Sodastream. Will it carbonate?
1 oz peach schnapps
Float 1 oz Bailey's on top
With an eyedropper, drop 4-6 drops of grenadine carefully together, forming a brain between the liquors
When the brain "hemorrhages" to the bottom of the glass, drink...
This is a peaches and cream brain hemorrhage....tasty desert shot.
I like Bailey's Irish Cream but I only use it at Christmas time on ice cream.

What anti gun legislation do you mean? All I know of is closing a few loopholes that allow people legally banned from gun ownership to obtain them anyway without background checks. I disagree that that is anti gun legislation, and across the board background checks are something a vast majority think is proper.
There's plenty of misinformation on this topic floating about. Is there other actual legislation in the works, or just rumors of other legislation the left will enact....and only according to the right?
I'll be voting Republican for all except Trump. I'd vote Libertarian but that is a wasted vote. I would vote Democrat, but they are hard set on anti gun legislation and I don't agree with some of their fiscal policies. I support abortions and a lot of the rest of the things they are for, but they lose me on gun laws and fiscal policy.
My views really match those of they guy on The Newsroom, the one Jeff Daniels played.
Circulating Seal
W-wait... how the fuck did you find that? Are you some kinda wizard or something?! That shit's in JAPAN and you still found it! The Europeans didn't find Japan until 1957! I mean, seriously, can you imagine driving around Belgium in a Citron and suddenly BAM!! IT'S FUCKING JAPAN OUTTA NOWHERE! And that's when you realize you're floating in a canal in the center of Ghent because you've been fuck-all pissed on Avec Les Bons Voeux for the last week and a half. That shit happens to me at least twice a week and I'm fucking tired of it. Can't they just move Japan out of the way or something?

Joe Biden Mental state
There was an article a few days ago about Trump floating a plan to let Democratically led cities and states languish with zero federal funds or assistance, not only through Covid but as a, let's call it final solution to the problem of Democratic leadership.
Sounds like he is looking to dissolve the union himself.
I, for one, support Wexit. California, Oregon, and Washington would likely have a bigger, definitely more robust economy than those lesser 47 states (or fewer if there's an Eastxit), and our population of insane right wing nutjobs is a manageable size, and would likely shrink fast.
Can we just do a trial run....we can wait until November 4 to decide if it's still necessary, but we could start ignoring DC now....and stop sending them our money. No need for fighting, just an amicable divorce.
A newt can dream
@BSR no i said i was done arguing with them because they don't argue in good faith.
If they want a civil war, i guess we'll have to teach those dumb rednecks a lesson again.
The Flying Train (1902)
fyi the „Schwebebahn“ still runs today as a means of public transport in Wuppertal, Germany.
The literal translation is Floating Train, which I think sounds even cooler than flying...
Harry Potter Gets An American Makeover
That was freaking hilarious. LMFAHS @ wingardium leviosa - making the feather float by shooting it into the air
An actual smoke screen (smoke curtain)
Would have been laid by a fleet's float planes or limited basic carrier aircraft (like---very basic, pre WW II) to mask your own ships under scenarios such as 1) A turn away from an enemy fleet that had concentrated its salvoed big gun fire successfully against you, perhaps by crossing your "T" (1/2 your guns agains all of his--run away!) or 2) to mask the approach of your surface torpedo carriers, the destroyers and destroyer escorts, to close as fast as possible on the enemy's battle line before popping through the curtain and firing some of their torpedoes before popping back into cover and moving to another location and then firing more torpedoes (torpedoes were the ship killers of the small ships of the fleet and the only thing battleships had to fear from destroyers and destroyer escorts/torpedo boats)
Would be curious to know what this was generally used for and if it was used often.
Little Girl Punches Down Tree ...
Float like a butterfly, sting like an angry lumberjack.
