Obamacre Navigators Exposed Coaching Applicants to Lie

aaronfr says...

So, someone went into an 'navigators' office looking for help getting health insurance. Then he confessed that he had been cheating on his taxes. The navigator advised him that the forms he was filling out would be sent to the IRS. They also advised him that unless he was ready to deal with consequences of his initial lie, he should maintain it.

Also, there is a controversy because some old lady thinks a group is part of the DNC. Oh, and a 501(c)3 is working with a PAC. Which is only allowable under certain conditions. Which O'Keefe fails to tell us and fails to show how those rules are being broken here. Instead he chooses to insinuate that a PAC which has a political strategy is somehow nefarious because they are implementing that strategy.

Jon Stewart's 19 Tough Questions for Libertarians!

JiggaJonson says...

Just pointing out that I think it's dishonest to be a statist and deride others for being statists, statist.

Thanks for telling me that you fill out a W9, live in LA, and that you're an author; and letting me know that that information is none of my business. How contradictory of you. Statist liberloon.

Although it's fun pointing out you calling the kettle black, it's not necessarily personal grudge. I believe that libertarianism and white-washing of regulations is a bad thing. Look at Pakistan. It's no Somalia in terms of a libertarian paradise, but it's not far off:
http://tribune.com.pk/story/538217/poor-regulation/

^Pakistan is a country riddled with a lack of regulation, yet the poor keep getting poorer there, and the rich keep getting richer.

People who are destitute enough, do have alternatives that are not afforded to them here in the States though, they can sell their organs:

OH TO BE FREE! to sell your organs...

If you do end up getting sick, you can always turn to the largely unregulated drug industry: http://www.aljazeera.com/video/asia/2012/01/201212775512528261.html

FREEDOM! to produce dangerous drugs on a mass scale... Hey! That's kindof like those kids who died from the polio vaccination that was privately funded and not regulated: http://www.sfgate.com/health/article/When-polio-vaccine-backfired-Tainted-batches-2677525.php

It's kind of like...ohhh I wasn't gonna post this again, but what the heck:

@JiggaJonson, man, you're harboring such personal resentment. It's all so petty and cringeworthy at this point. But, again, your premise is completely ridiculous. And for so many reasons it's hard to list them all here. I also don't believe in the heavy gun restrictions here in Los Angeles, but I'm not about to walk out onto the streets in front of LAPD with an AK-47 slung over my shoulder. By your backwards logic, that means I'm supporting gun control.

Not to mention, Thoreau lived at a different time when it was probably safer to be a tax resister. The fewer interactions with our police state that I can make for myself is probably for the best. Also the Internal Revenue System (a self-proclaimed tax law enforcement agency) wasn't formed until the exact year Thoreau died. Fact. Look it up.

I'm fairly certain Thoreau didn't have to submit a W9 to work as an author. I, on the other hand, do. And the 16th Amendment, the one responsible for Congress's ability to levy income tax, wasn't even ratified until over forty years after his death. And so forth and so on, etc. etc. boring conversation and blah blah.

Plus my personal life is none of your business. So you're just really talking out your ass and comparing apples to oranges here. I really hope you can find happiness in your life and move past being so bitter.

IRS lawyer fail

CreamK says...

My taxform comes prefilled and i've never had to correct it. Don't even need to to send it back if i have no corrections. That's good service and doesn't cost me a penny.. It's pretty easy when companies pay your taxes and send their tax info forward so all the data is already in the system, it just takes some simple coding to make it automatic. Usually the only thing that a person here needs to fill out him/herself are the deductions like buying tools or traveling longer distances. If you try to work without paying taxes, both you and the employer are at fault.

Yes, that's correct, the government here (FIN) actually subsidizes individual workers... So "socialism" is pure evil, right?

If I try to submit a video via the bookmarklet, the page freezes for about 5 seconds ervery time I scroll up or down. This doesn't happen if I submit it manually.
Also, the fact that I only find out that a video has already been sifted after I fill out all the information keeps me from submitting anything. After the third time I filled out all the information for a dupe, I either have to go or I am too annoyed to try again. Previously, I only had to click the bookmarklet to see if a video was already on the sift.

Definite glitch in video uploads for me. A spot opened up in my unsifted queue so I tried to post a new video from YT. After a copy and paste of the embed code, the validate video bar did not respond. I had to add and use the Toolbar Videosift Submit Link to get it to validate and eventually post successfully.

Since my queue was again full, I thought I try for an extra post using my 2 power points. Once again I had to use the toolbar link to get the YT submission to validate. After filling out the necessary information I clicked on the continue box to check for dupes and instead was taken to the VideoSift Bookmarklet page.

That can't be right ... riiight?

Bic Pens for Women- Ellen has a conniption fit

Another Amazon review.....

Alrights, I works at the bail bonds counter and mens always be taking my pens...and I'm all like, "What makes you think you can take my pens, I know you stressed trying to get your bro, dad, momma...whoever outta the clink, but I don't have like an unlimited number of pens here, so if you can't fills out your paperwork at the counter, and you know I already tole you that you can't, then you needs to bring your own pen" So I got these pens at the doller store and they all pink and purple and I even sprayed them down with Mariah Carey's perfume, the one in the pink bottle cuz the purple bottle smell like my aunt, the one who is the same age as me, and mens can't stand these pens, they never walk off with them anymore.

RMR: Rick's Rant - Polling

Sagemind says...

*Promote because what he says is so logical and obvious even though no one (of consequence) will listen to what he is saying and the polling will continue...

I fill out polls all the time and I am always amazed at how the questions can always be set up so that I can't say anything bad about the company and the things I want to say and every question leads to a vote in favor of what the pollsters want to promote. I always want to pick the option that is absent from the available list of choices.

Now there's $1.2 Million dollars of equipment well spent. Must be a Government pencil sharpening contract.

yes, but the government pencil sharpening, formerly done by "lazy" government workers, has been contracted out to a greedy private corporation who now has a monopoly on the trade, patents on both pencils and sharpeners, and is now using part of the government contract funds to produce a pro-pencil ad-campaign.
As a result, pencil sharpening costs, the overall net worth of the politician who contracted out the pencil sharpening (as well as all the attorneys involved), and the value of the pencil company has now significantly increased.

But I just wanted some .5 mm for my Mechanical Pencil. Why must fill out 16 forms and show proof of mechanical pencil insurance??

Filling out paperwork and paying a fee.. does not make you any more sane or rational.

George Zimmerman had a concealed carry permit. Then he murdered a kid.

Owning a gun, increases the likelihood of violence.
Whether the violent act you commit is deemed legal or illegal/a crime is something for a bureaucracy to determine after someone is already dead.

Btw, if your hobby is simply target practice.. why do you need a deadly weapon to enjoy it.

Airsoft, paintball and pellets guns could all fulfill that need to shoot shit.

In reply to this comment by Buck:
Hi, I was wondering if you would indulge me in some conversation about you downvoting this comment:

If you have a licence, owning a gun does not make you more likely to commit a crime.

Do you disagree that someone who goes through the invasive (in Canada) process to get a legal licence for firearms and follows the law will somehow be turned evil by a firearm?

I work with people with Autism for a living, I love my family, friends, country etc. I also love going to the range to shoot paper targets.

Do you think I should not be allowed the freedom to pursue my legal (and fun) hobby?

Thanks for any response

What does the professor write on the board at the end?

he wrote -OH and ...H

it's a hydroxyl group and a hydrogen atom. he treated the zorro "z" as if it was a carbon structure (butane), with each corner representing a carbon. in this case it'd be butanol. but he should have written one more "...H" on that corner, since carbon has four valence electrons. or he could have omitted the single "...H" as they are implied to fill out the remaining carbon structure.
