Blackwater CEO To Be Indicted

spawnflagger says...

I think all Blackwater executives should be extradited to Iraq and tried there... they don't have the endless appeals process that USA does.

Every military person who I've ever seen give an account of Blackwater PMC "soldiers" said they acted like they were in the wild west - no discipline, no remorse. They could get away with anything so they did anything they wanted. I'm sure the blackwater stories that actually came to light were just the tip of the iceberg. Hopefully we'll see some karma with this case.

The Unfortunate Truth about the Death Penalty

MaxWilder says...

Um yeah, pay their meal ticket! Not only does it give innocent people time to come up with further evidence, it's CHEAPER to keep people in prison for life!!! Don't believe me? There's some smart peoples doin' the research.

But lets look at the death penalty another way. "During 2007 24 countries, 88% in China, Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the United States alone, executed 1,252 people." What wonderful company we are in. The UK banned it in 1973. It is banned in France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Canada, Australia, even Mexico. In fact, Mexico refuses to extradite some criminals who really need to face justice in the US because we might execute them.

There was a time when the US was a world leader. Now we can't even follow the trends set by the rest of the world.

Everybody else is evolving beyond the revenge bloodlust. When are we going to grow up?

Did You Know America is also Bombing Somalia?

How about TRIALS instead of summary execution of individual suspects by sending cruise missiles?

Because the guy they are going after in Somalia is working with Al-Qaeda to try and take down the ruling government in Somalia. If the government there could get there hands on him for a trial or extradition to the U.S. they'd have already happily done so.

Not saying that it justifies attacks like this or not, but it isn't as simple as sending out the local police to pick him up for questioning either.

Seeing as the US is on Canada's Torture watch list, since we did torture a Canadian citizen and didn't even bother to apologize, it seem like it might be pretty easy to make a case against Canada turning over ANY fugitives to US authorities.

Apparently some US officials have threatened to close the boarder to trade if Canada does not help them with the "War on Drugs" by giving up Emery and friends, but that really sounds like a hollow threat. Do the folks in Washington/Ottawa actually believe that they could close a boarder between us and 25M white folks without the neo-con free-market power base making a stink?

Canada has been accused of being a separate country in name only, if Emery gets extradited, BC is the 51st state, Canada is over. That would be a real shame, because seeking asylum in the great white north was my backup plan when the US descends into full blown fascism.

Extradition treaties. (Edit to clarify... if they said no here we'd retaliate against them some time so they gave Mark up for the treaty even if they didn't like it) He sold seeds to people in the US and according to the DEA that broke our laws so Canada went along with it. Personally I think it's a load of garbage, they just wanted to make an example of him because he's vocal. Read the grow sites or activist forums and you'll find that seeds are caught by customs all the time and rarely does anything happen but them confiscating the seeds and replacing it with a nice little note from customs.

I'd imagine lots of people dumped grows and got rid of supplies based just on the note, no raid or prosecution needed.

Crazy Eddie commercials we had to endure

Trancecoach says...

yeah, I remember watching these as a kid.

Then when I grew up, I learned that spooky spokesperson wasn't "Crazy Eddie," and that the "real" Crazy Eddie emigrated to Israel to escape extradition for
fraudulent business practices. He eventually returned to the US in '93, pleaded guilty in '96, and sentenced to eight years in prison & received massive fines.

Ah, to be in the electronics business in NY during the 80s..

Marc Emery speaks about his Extradition to the USA

Irishman says...

Gordon Brown, the new British PM has said on the record that he wants to extradite drug dealers from the UK. Canada and the UK are importing these disasterous US drugs laws.

These drug laws are more harmful than all the drugs you can imagine added together and multiplied by the first number you can think of.

Government definition of what constitutes a 'drug' is extraordinarily broad and not based in reality. When a drug is listed illegal, it is defined in law as having no medicinal or pharmaceutical value - and no research can be done on a listed drug.

Psychedelics are not drugs. Marijuana is the oldest medicine known to mankind.

LSD was used during the 60s to treat alcoholism with a success rate in the high 90%s - this essentially makes it a CURE for alcoholism.

MDMA has been used in psychotherapy to treat post-traumatic stress disorder with a success rate in the high 90%s - this essentially makes it a CURE for traumatic stress. American soldiers are starting to receive this treatment.

Pharmaceutical companies aren't interested in cures.

Hillary Clinton Uncensored

I do have issues in general with assertions not being backed up. Like Paul saying that the judge on his case was appointed by the Clintons (that sounds implausible as they don't appoint judges and the video showed no proof of this).
They showed his name "Judge Howard Matz"...google it and you will see that he was a Clinton appointee.

a few other questions unanswered by the video
so what was Peter Pauls felon (from 2 decades prior ?).
The video showed that too. It was for cocaine possession and trying to swindle money from the Cuban Government (whatever that means)...he pled guilty and served 3 years in prison.

Was he a fugitive at the time of his arrest in a foreign country?
Not a fugitive for the prior felonies....it said he was detained for extradition because he was being investigated in connection for misuse of his brokerage accounts.

I like the guy who says "it's the largest election fraud in the United States ( I guess I considered that laughable for what goes on and doesn't get reported or caught...meaning that's not just a Clinton thing, as it's a problem on both sides of the aisle).
Talk about making accusations without providing anything to back it up. I don't know if the Clinton's are guilty here or not...but to take the stance that "if they are guilty it's no big deal because they aren't the only ones" is what I find laughable.

(i personally don't care about eithers fundraising...it's the policy they push once in office that concerns me)
Well they usually go hand in hand. You can pretty much count on it...if their fund raising is shady then so will the intentions of the policies they push.

This video was about Campaign finances, not policy that she would implement.

Seen the tripe that IS, the shouting match between these two icons of sheit. Rivera is as much a schlockmaster of divergent spin as O'Reilly, they both put personality over substance, in most cases....THIS tirade was no different.....

and yeah, dumbasses, it was NOT an issue of drunk driving as Heroldho Revolta kept hammering....It IS an issue of that illegal fuck. Had he not been here , the shit would not have happened!

In this particular case, Owned'Reily was correct. The problem would not have been one, if the illegal alien situation was taken care of, in a country that will soon be the United State of Illegal Mexicans Here.

Idiots!! Wanna see the U.S. in twenty five years???? Look to England, France, and other such sovereign-soon-not-to-be-countries, and get yer history- repeating answer....Those countries problems are caused by illegals from other countries, the US happens to have a paper-thin border and policies, with MEXICO!!

So, fuck the divergent drunk driving issue, which is a non-issue, designed to call attention to emotionalism, instead of the CAUSE of the problem, the non-exitent border, between U.S. and Mexico, and the equally as non-existent enforcement of laws concerning their extradition, and prosecution.....

Most countries don't let folks from bordering nations, waltz in and start working....MY fucked up, unconscious, full of Un-concerned meatbots country, the U.S....DOES!!!

Chomsky saw the writing on the wall 30 years ago......The future of the U.S. and of the world, is the 3rd World!!!!

The Real Story: Iraq Video

Farhad2000 says...

*comedy because it is...

double Speak

The story from the troops has always been that the condition is bad due to mismanagement from above, it's getting worse as troops are being replaced by ungoverned PMC outfits such as Blackwater and Executive Outcomes. They suggestion has been that will they would continue the objective if need be, it's best if if they extradite from Iraq as soon as possible. One of the chief ways they have done is the hearts and minds program combined with a training of the Iraqi Police and National Guard.

Both military organizations coalition forces just disbanded following the end of hostilities, which lead to the mass looting and chaos seen previously. The hearts and minds program is responsible for the 98% of children who are vaccinated.

This was a positive effect, something that would have happened back in 1991 if policies with Iraq were more stringent following the conclusion of the first Gulf war. Arguably the UN was at fault due to restrictions via the oil for food program. The economy simply opened up because the oil for food program was gone, the embargo forced by a no fly zone and trade restrictions was gone. So all those goods and services.

What they are throwing at you are simply the statistics of damage control that was run to fix the shit hole the administration took you, wheres the mention of the smoking gun? The mass wave of propaganda and power point slide shows of chemical tankers and mobile launchers? Wheres the Al Qaeda link? The mention of the fiasco when claiming that Iraq attempted purchase of yellow cake of Nigeria? Which then lead to the outing of Valeria Palme? What about our troops fighting short handed supported by dubious PMCs? Fighting with little to no armour in their vehicles. Like the amount of questions about the actions of this administration is ridiculous. At no point do you feel Bush to be humane because he never says or even alludes that his wrong, alot of republican nuts say its a sign of strength? I don't know what kind of MC Esher sketchbook you came from but that's just ignorant...

thanks for your comment. i had a little time but first hesitated to write such a long answer. glad that at least one read it and found it informative. you don't have to apologise of course especially not for your fellow citizens our your school system. if they teach you, the swiss are/were neutral, thats not wrong. the question only is: what is "neutral". our neutrality is basically a military one. that means: not taking part in any conflict. not selling weapons to any side. maintaining diplomatic relations with both parties. not let any party use our territory and/or airspace. that's how it has been more or less since the middle ages. but this says nothing about what the people (or the government) think. in 1848 democratic revolutions took place in germany - they failed. the leader of this movements came to switzerland and got a hearty welcome. that caused big tension with the german monarchies (especially prussia) who demanded immediate extradition - that was not granted. again, in 1871 the swiss mainly supported the more democratic french in the franco-prussian war. same procedure in 1914 (france then being the only real democracy in europe beside switzerland) and in 1939. so, the swiss were always far from being "neutral" in the sense of "i don't care". but as a country, we officialy were and still are.
today, we have problems defining our neutrality. regarding the israel-lebanon war, one of our federal councillors (a member of the 7-member collective government) said, that, if international laws are broken and crimes against humanity are commited, the one who remains silent is not neutral, but is actively taking part by approving what happens. now the discussion is in, if this is a new definition of our neutrality or not. some say, even an expression like that from a member of the government would be against neutrality... i'm really looking forward to the process of this discussion and if ever a final decision will be made, it will probably become manifest in a referendum. what not necessarily simplifies complicated things....

now it's my turn to apologize to you all for using the comment function for derisory long answers...
