Yeah but he drinks that after he's already walked in to the room. Everything was plainly insight immediately entering the house, the boxes are every where, the camera is sitting on a tripod in the middle for the room.

Not to mention the very nature of idly accepting a photo of two people fucking in the face of "customer service". Feel it might of been better to have the photo he gives over cropped with perhaps a subtle hint of a few arms. Then leave the larger photo on the kitchen bench, letting human curiosity sneak a peak.

You can only chalk so much up to the drugging, still have to put a little effort in believability. Good concept but fell flat for me on the details.

Why Tipping Should Be Banned

ChaosEngine says...

My $0.02:

In NZ, tipping is very uncommon. Restaurants are required to pay their staff minimum wage (and time and a half plus a day in lieu on public holidays). This is great and I fully support it.

but....

As a general rule, service in NZ is awful. Even in relatively expensive restaurants, it's not uncommon for service to be decidedly mediocre. As most people don't tip, there's often little incentive for wait staff to do better.

Contrast that with the US: in my experience, the level of customer service in the US is much higher on average. I think the idea that anyone should depend on tips is awful, but clearly the custom of tipping has created an environment where staff are eager to please.

Surely there's a happy middle ground?

Pay the employees a fair wage and have tipping be customary rather than obligatory. When I get good service in NZ, I will tip. Because I know the wait staff are paid regardless, it's typically 10-15% of the bill, but it's always seen as a genuine thank you for making the experience more pleasant.

Side note: if you can't work out 20% of your bill, you are not fit to function in modern society.

Star Citizen: Drake Cutlass Commercial

Mordhaus says...

Another money grab, whenever the incoming money slows down, they make a commercial to sell me ships.

After being lured into the series by CR name and the promise of dogfight style combat, I got backstabbed when they swapped to physics based to please the vocal minority. Screw the game and CR, although their customer service was nice enough to give me back 85 percent of my original backer money.

Comcast customer service nightmare

eric3579 says...

From a former Comcast employee:

"If I was reviewing this guy's calls I'd agree that this is an example of going a little too hard at it, but here's the deal (and this is not saying they're doing the right thing, this is just how it works). First of all these guys have a low hourly rate. In the states I've worked in they start at about 10.50-12$/hr. The actual money that they make comes from their metrics for the month, which depends on the department they're in. In sales this is obvious: the more sales you make the better you do.

In retention, the more products you save per customer the better you do, and the more products you disconnect the worst you do (if a customer with a triple play disconnects, you get hit as losing every one of those lines of business, not just losing one customer). These guys fight tooth and nail to keep every customer because if they don't meet their numbers they don't get paid.

Comcast uses "gates" for their incentive pay, which means that if you fall below a certain threshold (which tend to be stretch goals in the first place) then instead of getting a reduced amount, you get 0$. Let's say that if you retain 85% of your customers or more (this means 85% of the lines of businesses that customers have when they talk to you, they still have after they talk to you), you get 100% of your payout—which might be 5-10$ per line of business. At 80% you might only get 75% of your payout, and at 75% you get nothing.

The CAEs (customer service reps) watch these numbers daily, and will fight tooth and nail to stay above the "I get nothing" number. This guy went too far; you're not supposed to flat out argue with them. But Comcast literally provides an incentive for this kind of behavior. It's the same reason people's bills are always fucked up: people stuffing them with things they don't need or in some cases don't even agree to."

Okay, BobsBlitz was banned proper by @chicchorea on this self-link a month ago.

It got confusing that he was getting nominated for a ban despite already being banned, though I'm not certain the video needs to be discarded. He's posted lots of popular posts that were not necessarily self-links and this may be a valid submission. (We don't necessarily need to discard every post by someone who's been banned for self-linking.)

If Walmart Paid Its Employees a Living Wage

Payback says...

I know if Walmart raises it's prices on KD by $0.01...

I'll still be shopping at this local mom+pop mini market I go to because their customer service is excellent.

Once I forgot my wallet before stopping by for some milk an a Mars bar, and Tony said to just pay the next time I was in. I'm a customer for life. Walmart can infinitely afford to be that cool, but doesn't... and the guy that probably can't afford it... is? No contest.

That being said... I'm pretty sure HE gets some of his stuff from Walmart... but it's mostly tourist crap.

Domino's Pizza Complaints

ChaosEngine says...

So basically, shitty customer service is completely acceptable because you're not a starving refugee? Good to know....

That said, I'm not filled with sympathy... if you order shit food, expect shit service.
