Nanomandala: A microscopic journey into a mandala
Love it! None computer generated fractals for the win!
Metal Storm - 1,000,000 Rounds per Minute - Behind the Gun
As fascinating as it is, I was disappointed we got stuck with looking at all these computer generated images. I want to see the real thing fire (if it exists.)
Stop-Motion Music Video Animation Using Dice As Pixels
that's incredible. do you think any of it's computer generated? lots of work gone into that one.
Babel fish - Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy
Apparently, all the animation in the original Hitchhiker's Guide was done by hand to look computer generated.
How the view of the universe from earth evolves with time
Interesting, but the computer generated narration is annoying.
The Burka Band
I am sorry - but I completely convinced that this is fake. It may have been made by expats living in Afghanistan. The music is computer generated, but the band members appear to be playing instruments. The lyrics don't make sense - men don't wear Burka's - and I don't think its meant to be ironic. Most Afghans couldn't afford, or get hold of the instruments in this video. Furthermore, the accent is wrong.
My problem with this video is it trivialises the daily struggle of real Afghani singers and musicians who are fighting to be heard. If you want to hear real Afghan women singing try Salma, Qamar Gula, Wajiha Rastagar (look on youtube).
Ran - Attack on Hidetora's Castle
Yeah, it's amazing what they can do with all those computer generated armies in this movie...
Wait, you mean they're all real? Those were all REAL people making up those huge armies?!?! What? That's not possible!
Classic movie btw
Returner action clip
"Re-Turner" (RETURNER or Ritaanaa) is a 2002 live action Japanese movie, directed by Takashi Yamasaki starring Takeshi Kaneshiro and Anne Suzuki. Suzuki plays a soldier from the future sent back in time to stop an incident that led to an alien invasion of Earth and slaughter of the majority of the human race. Kaneshiro's character is a reluctant hitman that she soon persuades to help her perform her mission.
This is the second film by director Takashi Yamasaki to utilize a number of computer generated visual effects showing bullet time, mecha and transforming alien ships (including a Boeing 747 that appears to transform into a mechanical dragon-ship with aliens on board). The film shows a clear film noir style. The villains in the film are reminiscent of the type of gangsters depicted in Hong-Kong style triad movies. Despite accusations of it being a derivative work, this film lays the groundwork for later CGI-heavy productions such as Casshern.

New full-length trailer for "300"!
This has to be, hands down, the best movie obviously shot and acted in front of a green screen we've seen in a LONG time. It harkens back to the glory days of "Attack of the Clones" and "Sin City". I get chills when I see the actors obviously acting in front a green screen with obviously CGI created characters in the background.
I almost faint with joy when I see them using elephants and rhinos in the battle...even though there's no historical basis that the Persians used either in the battle of Thermopylae. But it goes to show the dedication the producers have in bringing to the audience the BEST obviously computer generated creatures made in the last 6 months!
I can't WAIT to download this as a shaky-cam telesynced movie and watch it in glorious 320x240 resolution in the corner of my computer screen...as it was meant to be!
Does Anyone, anywhere actually believe this crap?
Is that a computer generated voice being used? Sentences sound extremely synthetic to me!
Where does this computer get its facts from? The Christian online wikipedia?!
This has got to be a parody...I can't believe anyone would think this, never-mind produce something so incredibly incorrect and laughably made (what's the music all about?)
Just watched the end: guess not!
Future Crew : Second Reality (Assembly '93)
I'm glad somebody else pointed out that there is no way this was a 64k demo.
Now, on the other hand we have Second Reality C64 which was a 1998 port of second reality to commodore 64.
This definitely was a turning point in my life. I was definitely considering sifting the c64 second reality, but I thought it would be too much of an inside joke. Similarly, somebody made Real Reality: a remake of Second Reality with props instead of computer generated imagery. It would have been much better with the original music. I really dislike their remake of the music.
Amazing Fountain
"Wtf? That's obviously computer generated."
^ No, it's not.

Amazing Fountain
Wtf? That's obviously computer generated.
I'm throwing down the gauntlet (Sift Talk Post)
Thanks very much for the recommendation Ren - although the cute/geek connection is slightly tenuous! I think the geek tag could be scraped from the computer generated voice in the chorus, myself (if at all!)
You've not watched the video then Farhad? It has the European Union meeting in it, and the guy (with the axe at the end) is a politician.
Sen. Mike DeWine (R-OH) doctors WTC image in lame attack ad
"DeWine spokesman Brian Seitchik says the image of the burning towers in the ad was a still photo with computer-generated smoke added."
That's right a still photo of pre-9/11 towers.. and they just decided to add their own smoke. Like they are tooooo retarded to use actual 9/11 video footage.
