Hihi,

I was just wondering, if it is just me OR - whenever I promote a video of @PlayhousePals, it does not show up any bigger than any normal video on the page. Everything else that's under 'Featured *Promoted Video' shows up bigger (when I flip throgh the 'Next Featured Video'... I tried this on Firefox, IE and Chrome, and they ALL show her video as 'normail' size.

Thanks:)

EDIT: The same with lv_hunter 's video:

Yes and it was horrible. The first thing it did was log me out of VideoSift, toss my theme settings right out the window and basically sundered my Chrome browser experience.

I didn't want something to proxy my entire browser session, I wanted something that would handle just the video embed, just like MediaHint does.

Weird. It's loading for me (and annoyingly auto-playing).

Anyone else having a problem or have an alternate embed?

We use the "Hola Unblocker" extension for Firefox or Chrome. It's free, bypasses the region blocking, and doesn't slow down the streaming at all. Been using on U.S. Netflix from Japan for over a month now with no problems.

Haven't seen House of Cards yet though. I'm still working through Breaking Bad which only has released up to season 3 here in Japan.

I have to say that when I first heard they were remaking House Of Cards, I was dreading it.

There is no way that "Frank Underwood" could possibly hold a candle to Francis Urquhart, I thought.

But every clip I've seen makes me think this could be worth watching.

Now if only netflix would drop their ridiculous region blocking, I have some monies for them.

Not to worry - you can recognize Homem-Christo on his bald spot (he's a "chrome dome"), and Bangalter on his prescription eyeglasses.

For a while I thought those two non-robots on bass and drums were Daft Punk!

That would have been just wrong.

this bag is more expensive than anything I'd put inside it.

except a laptop, but this seems like a crappy bag to put a laptop in (no padding)

this would be a good bag for Indiana Jones.

I do like that the high price is because it's high quality, unlike many designer bags that you are only paying for the name.

I recommend Chrome bags for something that is more practical. Still expensive ($100-$200), but will last forever. Most local "pro" bicycle shops carry them, if you want to check out in person. And those same shops will usually order a custom one for you at the same price as the website.

It seems that my votes only count if I am logged in, most of the time anyway. I've tried voting before at different computers without logging in and most of the time it shows the vote as working, but if I open a different browser to the video link (firefox to chrome, for example) it shows that the vote did not register.

I first noticed it when I was on my Nexus 7 and didn't feel like typing in my password, later I noticed the video had not went up in votes. Then I figured it might be because it was on the same router as my computer and it was to prevent people from 'gaming the system' and doing multiple votes for themselves. I then tried it on some of my friend's computers at different times and it was repeated there. It seems to be hit or miss, sometimes the vote counts and verifies in another browser, sometimes it doesn't.

For instance, today I tried to vote on http://videosift.com/video/How-did-the-car-appear without logging in. It showed the upvote in firefox, but in chrome it showed that it still had 9 votes. I logged in and voted and it went to 10, which chrome verified. I don't think it is a time delay either, because as soon as I am logged in and vote it goes through immediately.

Anyway, I thought you might want to investigate it. If someone has already pointed it out or I am just seeing issues that are not there, ignore this.

"Embed code appears to be invalid"... for YouTube? (Geek Talk Post)

Got it submitted now using the VideoSift Bookmarklet in IE. It still reported that the embed was invalid but when I hit submit it worked anyway. Perhaps it would have worked in Chrome if I had just ignored the message too?

"Embed code appears to be invalid"... for YouTube? (Geek Talk Post)

Spacedog79 says...

I am not able to submit videos with either the youtube address or the embed code.

If I put the address in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEU13R5jt1w it reports "Sorry, that video host is not supported, and you are not yet privileged to submit from unknown hosts. :-("

If I use the embed code: It repots "Embed code appears to be invalid".

I'm normally pretty good at these things but this has me stumped. Other videos I've tried have the same effect, and lullaby_lune's example video simply says the video has already been submitted.

Have tried different computers and Chrome and IE with no joy so far.
